I'm pretty sure that my life took a different direction when I got into bikes. At one point I pretty much had 2 separate groups of friends......those with bikes and those without. I've still got friends who just don't "get" the biking thing and I guess they never will.

I come from a family of bikers, so it was pretty much inevitable.

My old man rode bikes in the army but apart from him, no one in my family is into bikes. Wankers.

Apart from this forum, I think I've only met 2 people on account of bikes.

you really need to get out more...:thud:

nearly everybody I know both in france and the UK I met through bikes.  Other than that it's family or work colleagues. 3 couples of friends here are not bike related but in 2 of them the guys ride.

That i didn't meet through bikes, the people i work with are just people i work with and don't socialise with them outside of work. I've also met a lot of arseholes with bikes more in my later years than early years for some reason , or is it that i have become less tolerant as i got older.

You lucky that I have a photo of the Suzuki.....cameras and taking the film to Boots was not my thing.

My dad was a security guard at a local colliery,  he used to hang about till 6.30pm to go to work, knowing my mum had missed the only bus that she could take to get to the bingo on time, so he thought......he would leave for work and after 5 minutes later my mum got on the bike and I dropped her off at the bingo. đŸ˜‚Â

Strange as he was quite happy when she won £500 at the bingo, this was in1974.
