We’ve got a pretty one in today

Well yesterday actually. Went out for a ride on gs with my buikt up boots on that cost a small fortune and success !!! Felt 100% better. Didnt feel i had to weigh up the ground at every stoo etc... just got on with it. Rained constantly but my Dainese jacket and 2nd hand Dainese trousers kept me bone dry got a Shoei Neotec 3 helmet which is definitely better than the 2. Was hard to see though. Had my visor up most of the time. Only other bikes we saw was a group of 4 GS's. I got a cheery big wave off all of them. Seems GS riders only wave at other GS riders then. I spent the whole time not indicating because 1. I dont have to its a BMW and 2. WTAF !!! Who designed these indicator switches a complete psycho did.

Put battery on the scoot, started 1st jab of the button, tyres about 5lb down, front and back...pumped them up. Sprayed the CAR wiper mechanicals, think I will have to remove the mechanism and give it a proper clean and grease the pivots. Same as my buddy, all he had in the past were Vespas,only since 2005 when he got into the modern autos (T Max & Gilera) but he also has a Vespa 300 now too.

Husband grew up riding vespas and involved in all that scene. I grew up in Australia and didnt know anything about it until i met Andy. As he's a vespa man i just went with that. I like them both tbf. I havent ridden a lambretta though. Apparently they are more balanced etc...

Most of us here are old, working class, lifetime bikers and greasers........there's a big culture difference compared to later generations. Do we all have to become PC and tone our language down? That's not us.....and I don't think many of us could maintain that persona for long. It's not who we are! I've always felt it's more a case of attracting like-minded people who feel at home in this type of oldschool environment.

I would guess either somebody told him all about you and this site and all of what gets got up to on here... or he was just one of those people who simply cannot be doing with the incessant flow of utter bollox that this forum seems to specialise in.
