No cooking, just a healthy lunch with some cheese for taste:

Again, Sofia's amazing oven roasted aubergine and pepper dip, some cured ham, cherry tomatoes, and goat's cheese for lunch.

An entree of cured black pig, some bread and local wine, simple flavours in my untamable garden

My spicy onions and canned sardines dish with leftover dahl, a nice mix:

Costa, watching me have some olives and white wine. Not looking too pleased but he had just finished his own dinner.

trawling through some photos yesterday amd came across this from our last Britanny trip.IMG_0321.thumb.JPG.6d4d1ceb192795bff6a9e4ff09a343ca.JPG

In Britanny they make ( apart from crépes) whant they call  "Kouign" ( pronounced "Queen") which are pancakes more like blinis and can be savoury or sweet.  This restaurant extrapolated  this and produces a "Burger Kouine"   ( burger King, get it?)  which has "Kouine" instead of a bread bun.   Bloody lovely!  uuuurrrpsss !

Hummus, vegetarian Paella and some greens. Terrible picture because @Pedro was not there...

He was very much missed! Not just to take the picture, also to share a good glass ( or bottle!)   of wine, good convertation and his  compliments at the end! ?

You may need to lower your standards of what constitutes a terrible picture or I might not be able to contribute to this forum

Yesterday it was my turn to cook some traditional Portuguese food in the shape of peas in tomato sauce with eggs poached in with the peas. They were being taken out of their skins while I was buying them, couldn't get more organic of I tried!! I also made dhal to go with the peas and everyone was vegetarian and happy about it!

The peas were ok, but not as tasty as @Pedro version. He was very much missed again, for the peas and Nürburgring stories! The dahl was one of the best Ive ever made, super tasty and really dont know why!! What I do know is I didnt wash the lentils and there was plentyof fermentation in my tummy afterwards!! The pepers with garlic ( lots of garlic) and oil and vinager are one of the most delishes things Portugal has given the world and are simply addictive.

Wish I could send all of you a little bit of this... Maybe one day we do a forum gathering!! Who knows...

The result wasn’t what we hoped for but can’t go wrong with pizza
