Don't get your hopes up.......I'm only off to Granada to take the wife to the Hospital. I'll be gone about 6 hours so who can I put in charge? Just looking at who's posting at the moment and it seems @Buckster is here.....so I suppose it'll have to be him! After all, what could possibly go wrong?4 points

I think it's fine and not just for if the lights bad. Who cares if its enhanced, if it's a good photo it's a good photo regardless of whether someone technicolored it, used an expensive camera, has done a photography course or has some other advantage. This isn't a professional photography competition. Banning stuff and rules is all a bit serious for something thats supposed to be lightweight fun. It's not a sport, photoshopping aint doping. I'm wondering if Pete's lack of wins has him trying to eliminate the competition?3 points

I'm looking for some advice, the other day my bike was parked inside a motorcycle bay and a car reversed into my bike knocking it over. I didn't see the incident but the driver of the car kindly left me a note on my bike letting me know what had happened and their contact details. The bike has quite a bit of cosmetic damage now to the side of it (scratches all over the side it fell on and then a little indent bump on the other side of the body where the contact was made). When I got home I got in contact with the other driver and they passed me over their details and insurance policy details. My next move was to call my insurer Bennetts, they went through preliminary questions and told me I'd be contacted by the claims team tomorrow for a more detailed follow-up. This afternoon I was contacted by 4th Dimension who underwrites on behalf of Bennetts (I think?) to question me about the incident. The rep from 4th Dimension then asked whether I'd like to claim on my policy or the other driver's; since I'm not at fault I decided to choose the other driver's policy. After the phone call, I then had a little Google search for 4th Dimension and saw a whole array of 1-star reviews which has now led me to become very anxious about the situation - especially considering it's my first ever claim. Has anyone gotten some advice on how I'm handling the situation thus far? Should I be doing anything further in the meantime? Would be good to hear of any experiences with these companies... Well, today, it was a French news article about fuel shortages at filling stations caused by a strike by refinery workers. And the photo at the head of the article is a filling station with a guy filling up an old H2 750 Kawasaki! I bet that would get him as far as the queue for the next filling station! https://france3-regions.francetvinfo.fr/nouvelle-aquitaine/gironde/bordeaux/carte-les-carburants-disponibles-dans-les-stations-services-pres-de-chez-vous-en-aquitaine-2632408.html?fbclid=IwAR357YzZq2Eu3DWcgX3tjd_sawlsBbHOu5JasIgBbRFKNg4HJU75P5LuZCw2 points

tell the fella to not go through insurance if you can , even if you claim off his insurance you will have to declare you made a claim fault or non fault when you get quotes for the next 4 or 5 years and it will probably put your insurance up2 points

That old BMW helmet is cool, though, back when german helmets looked so dorky they were cool. I’ve got 3 or 4 at home that belonged to Maria, her dad having eorked for the Portuguese BMW importer in the 90s, all kinds of funky colours. They were great quality, but that stuff has an expiration date. One of my favourite pictures ever, of a little Moroccan girl trying one out. At the end of the trip it was falling apart.2 points
