  1. The clouds came out today, which was really nice as it made for a cooler day. Went for a ride on the Honda to the beach, talked to some nice locals, took a few pics and then headed back home for some garden work. Have a nice weekend everyone!

  2. Linguini with basil pesto, dried nuts were scarse at home so it’s got a weird mix of almonds and walnuts, with a couple of cashews. Would doubled on the garlic and tripled on the black pepper but since I’m cooking for mum I toned it down. Consistency and cremosity (?) was ideal!

  4. Couple of days ago, with little brother. Chorizo as entree, and cow’s rib with white rice and tomato salad, the roasted pepper was half eaten with the meat, and half of it left soaking in olive oil and garlic for deliciousness a couple days later.

  5. Indeed. Turns out he had 4 cracked ribs, a small laceration on the liver (which was fixed) and a punctured spleen, which was taken out this morning. Now he's on the surgical recovery and shall remain there for a few days. Fuck knows how he managed this shit falling from a stepladder. My plans for August have drastically changed Nice! Plenty of excitement outside, though Also saw an old Buick going to the supermarket, all the way from Sweden!

  21. Same as yours Fred. I checked out the feed pipe after an engine rebuild but after 7 thou I got the ticking tappets. I've been told the "over heating" oil buggas the rubber but I think it's more old age. It's been a prob with Honda on the xl600s too. There's also been a couple of casings fail behind the oil filter too but that's on the Italian crap ones. I'm watching with interest your mod. Think I'd try a circle of pipe to absorb vibration if there was room. Bloody tight spot to mess with.

  22. Here's one in France (I can't find any on your Sapnish site) , almost the same year, look at the price. They used to be cheap in France but not anymore........... https://www.leboncoin.fr/motos/2023132125.htm?ac=4051296304

  23. Yes, but that's the previous model . Different engine , in fact a totally different bike, they are not very desireable.

  25. I paid £1495 for my first one about the same time. Things have changed, as bikes have got more and more complicated these bikes have become more sought after and the price reflects that now. My mate sold his earlier in the year (fully kitted and ready to travel) for £4995

  26. To be fair Pete the main hospital in Bristol is exceptional, I had a room to myself and was treated superbly. The problem with the NHS is how long it takes you to get in there after being referred, covid certainly hasn't helped.

I remember alot about the tours I did.....there was (much) booze, a couple of near death and dismemberment crashes (not me) I crossed the Rhine on a ferry, dropped my wallet, over the side, thank fuck there was only €50 in it. And those fucking deer/Stags bellowing all night in the woods behind the hotel.....and guy 2 rooms away, whose snoring could be heard on the next floor....good times

  40. Look who’s talking! Runs great, though, and it’s not the high speed one. The high speed one didn’t stop on my town for a couple of hours more and I was in a rush. This is the high speed one, it could cruise at well over 200kmh but is limited by the tracks, that and for some reason trains can’t overtake other trains? Previous governments planned on bringing the TGV here, what a waste of money that would have been, building new tracks across the country to gain 20 minutes on a 300km trip. Someone lost big when that plan was aborted, and it wasn’t the taxpayer.

  45. I had a few installations in London where I was travelling down every day for a couple of weeks, but otherwise it was just for the occasional visit to help out the London engineers. My usual patch was the A14 corridor plus Peterborough and Northampton. I had a lot of kit in Ipswich, so I spent quite a bit of time travelling to and from there.
