Yeah @Six30 and has a lot more oomph to replace the Fazer1000 with.

Really? I would have thought the Fazer would be faster except in low revs

It is! 143bhp vs 106bhp!

I've no idea WTF they're going on about!

You don't worry about weight when you look at women, why should he worry about it looking at bikes?

What's the torque comparison between them?

The XJR will be ahead on that......but that's about it.

You're talking an R1 engine against an oldschool aircooled lump.

Don't get me wrong.....I love the XJR. But in terms of performance against the Fazer 1000 there's no comparison.

The R1 engine was excellent engine...i Remember they had grafted them to some yamaha snowmobile many years ago..and some turbo charged them... It was scary fast. Well over 200... Think around 260 or 280.

It's was in 2001 we were drag racing on a Lac.. About a 1/4 mile stretch... And 2 guys showed up with 2 Rx 1 turbo charged.. The guy would park his machine about a 100 feet behind the start line... He was also the flag man... Would run back to his machine and pass the bunch of us mid way like we were not moving.... Totally imbarrasing us in the process...

I think the Fazer is faster in all gears if you can keep the wheel down, I just meant it would have power to replace what I lost if trading the Fazer.👍

Well after going to see said xjr1300 which was a 2015 model and comparing it to the condition to my bikes mine are in better condition, so will keep mine instead and just squeeze them into my shed.
