After a week of decent weather here, we're due for some precip tomorrow....possibly some snow on Sunday. It'll be a nice change after the frozen fog & temps in the teens F for the last 4 days. Finally got the led outta my arse & got the Mrs. on her new Trike I bought for her...I got a kick outta listening to her giggle as she did some laps in the back yard today ...that alone was worth every penny I spent on it... And the normally scheduled Friday night Tequila shooting will commence soon...8 points

When Pete passed on it was a very uncertain time for this forum and if I'm perfectly honest I thought it would just end. I know we've had a few flouncers and we could definitely do with some more female members and some aren't posting all that much but generally I think it's going ok. So I'd like to thank Ian for keeping the forum going and in the same spirit as Pete ran it. It's not a bed of roses keeping this forum going so although he can come across as a bit of a c*nt to some newer peeps I think he deserves some big praise .6 points

I agree totally with the sentiments expressed here regarding all the admin team. Pete’s untimely and unexpected passing could well have been the end of this forum but it’s been saved by you folks from an admin point of view and all those that post on a regular basis. On a personal note I don’t mind admitting that I’ve struggled to make much of contribution since the daft Welsh twat decided to leave us all in the shit. I think it was due in part to his demise but also I’ve had quite a bit going on with my dad and my missus and I just lost the desire to contribute. However, things have picked up and I do feel that I’ve turned a corner and intend to make more of an effort from now on. I might have to return to full Cockney-Wanker mode.6 points

You wouldn’t believe the effort it takes to keep Buckster and Bob from running this place into the ground.6 points

I cleared the leaves in the garden and collected all the bits of branches and other crap after the last storm last weekend. Now the place looks like the aftermath of a small war again. we are currently in the process of house training a puppy, poor thing almost gets blown into next doors yard everytime he goes out for a wee.4 points

The vast majority of the modding has been done by @Buckster but @Pedro is doing a grand job since he stepped in ....................... of course, @Six30 should have got the mod job4 points

We had a bout of that about a week & a half ago...the same storm that put over 600,000 residents w/o power up in Seattle...& created those King tides along the coast. So glad I live on the east side of OR now. No issues with my wheelie bin as it's parked in the carport against my boat.4 points

What you doing? I am working Friday, Sat and Sun overnight. Not much else planned. Working now 00:20 left the hospital 20 mins ago and had severe weather warnings flash up on all the phones in the car, telling us not to drive. . No choice we have stuff to do. Wondering if everyone got the warnings or if they flashed up on our phone’s cause we are out and about.3 points

Just had a 15 minute power cut i blame these electric car owners panic buying electricity because of the storm and overloading the system, which prompted me to dig out my little generator which obviously wouldn't start, not surprised as its probably been 6 years since it last run. The carb was all gummed up so cleaned it all out and its running now but this time i drained the carb before putting it away. We've had the wood burner lit all day so good for heating and hot water for a cuppa as we keep a kettle of water on there when its lit.2 points
