Didn't get the led outta my arse soon enough earlier today to have another go at sorting the fuel issue....couldn't be arse'd as it reached 104f today. Don't if I'll get enough sleep tonight as it's date night w/ Mrs. Hook...we'll see. But I'll take another crack at it in the morning after I finish my daily starter fluid (java) session.

It is a TBI....all rebuilt. The in-tank pump is brand new...just replaced. I'm beginning to think there's some muck in the fuel tank clogging the pump.

Spent a chunk of yesterday changing out the fuel filter on my GMC S-15 4x4 pick-up. As my prosthetic proved to be useless, I accomplished the task w/ just my abbreviated LH. Fired the beast up...runs fine at idle but still will NOT take any throttle...after replacing the in-tank fuel pump & fuel filter twice....flippin' maddening! Now feeling 20 yrs. older than I am....back to the service manual for more trouble shooting....

A sprocket change could make a difference....might take a bit of a bite outta your 58 mpg, but the payoff could be more useful & relaxing. Suppose it just boils down to what kind of riding you'll be doing.

It finally started to rain this morning....Man, do we need it. So nice to smell that clean air. Gotta make a beer run today as we're gonna have some lovely 1" thick pork chops on the Traeger for dinner tonight.

TBH...It was nice to get out from all the wildfire smoke that we've been breathing for weeks now....& see some actual blue sky today. This year has been the worst wildfire season on record for the state of OR...with over 2 million acres burned. 1st time it rains should be declared a statewide holiday.

Mrs. Hook & I are driving to Richland WA today to place an order for threaded collars for my blasted prosthetic. I must remember to have the referral turned in before another year goes by, so I can just order the darned things over the phone & save myself a 200+ miles road trip.....DOH

The smoke is down-right oppressive....& we've now reached 1.5 million burned acreage statewide. Praying for rain daily.
