  1. My mate has just gone to meet his girlfriend's father and it turns out he's a biker! And he has quite a collection!

  2. Home at last. Boy looks mostly recovered but we were discharged 4 hours before he was due on his first day at Dominoes Pizza. Since bank of mum and dad tightened the purse strings he has a new perspective on money and how far it doesn't go so there was no way he was going to miss out on this job. He has just left for his first shift jacked on enough steroids to make Speedy Gonzales look sluggish, he has a normal speed of between an old fashioned 'ants in his pants' right up to 'wtf on the spectrum' level of energy. If they can cope with him on steroids then he may have found his lifelong job

  8. As you probably know my lifelong hero has been Jarno Saarinen who was killed in the Monza carnage in May 1973. Well one of my clients recently started going out with a young lady from Finland and he told me he was going there to meet her family last week. And by an amazing coincidence she was from Turku......Jarno's hometown. I told him all about Jarno cos hes not a biker (his girlfriend knew all about him cos he's a legend in Finland), and I suggested he should visit the memorial that's there. And this is the result! I've wanted to visit there for so long......maybe one day!

  10. Normally all of that is adjustable. You should have a swing setting (oo er misses) and be able to set it straight ahead, that should fix things, assuming they are near the ceiling and the price tag didn't effect the fitting Plus the fan strength is adjustable which takes the icey edge off things. Generally I've found having the aircon close the actual temp you're already acclimatised to the perfect balance. Before I left I found 26 degrees a bit chilly

  15. They always give us warnings using popular culture and we do have the movie Zombie Apocalypse so there's that, on the other hand those people might be quite normal, it's hard to tell. Take Bucky for example.

  20. Ours in our bedroom is set for 24C and the ceiling fan directs it down onto the bed, so it gets a bit chilly after a while. I switch it off then and the ceiling fan keeps recirculating the cool air, so it stays at a comfortable temperature overnight.

  22. Yes.....I know about the fan setting. But the floor fan is directed towards me, the PC and the monitor so it moves the hot air away from where I'm sitting.

  23. You do know you can set a temperature and it will keep the room at that temperature by switching on and off when needed. The fan will probably run all the time and the cooling part will switch on and off.

  29. Cheers all. Didn’t settle down enough for a safe discharge. Now on a men’s ward for another night with the usual loud and confused characters you find for yet another night awake in a sodding hospital chair! Got between zero and one bar of 4G that takes forever to load so will be out of things until I get home and some sleep. Goodnight.. maybe

  30. Well I have been using the C3 for commuting and it is a joy of quiet, can quite happily sit at 70 with very little wind noise. Faster and obviously it gets a little more raucous. Anyway quiet is good but I have gotten used to listening to stuff on my phone through the Bluetooth on my Viper lid. The Viper is comfy but noisy. So to the point I wanted some Bluetooth connectivity for my Schuberth. You can buy a Senna coms kit but it is a bit spendy and I don’t really care about coms as such. So I thought about using a Bluetooth kit I bought last year to use with my RE lid, but it didn’t fit. To my surprise it fitted in the Schuberth perfectly. Is Bluetooth 5.0 so works seamlessly with my phone, also I can’t feel the speakers so all is good. Some testing to do but I am pretty chuffed with what are in effect Bluetooth speakers in my lid for £30. They will control the phone to make calls and stuff but I doubt I will use that. They came from Amazon if you want to experiment with the same chinky tat.
