I am working at Stratton Hospital in Bude tonight and thought it would be a great idea to take my bike and get my first ride of 2023 in. Not the smartest choice, nothing like doing 42 miles in the dark through thick fog to give you that wtf am I doing moment. Never made it above 40mph cause I couldn’t see a fecking thing. To be honest it would have been no better on 4 wheels but at least I would have had a heater and radio. At least it will be dry for the ride home tomorrow morning4 points

Croatia just moved up into the Eurozone. Turkey, Hungary and the Czech's are each trying to mov up one notch, we haven't got time to deal with whingeing drama Queens as well... You wanted out, made the whole thing as difficult and petty as possible fro everyone, now you can FUCK OFF! sorry, but it needs saying.4 points

I've been to Milan with work a few times. The first time was for an international engineering meeting for the company I worked for at the time. It started well, with our International business director, who had flown in from the European headquarters in Geneva. He got a taxi from the airport to the hotel, paid the driver and got out and walked to the back of the taxi to get his cases out of the boot (trunk) and stood and watched the taxi drive off with his cases. When he told us all about it the local guys just shook their heads and said " rule number 1, get your cases out of the taxi before you pay the driver!" We had a great meal one evening at a swanky restaurant and after the meal the Italian guys insisted that we try a good number of the extremely expensive grappa that they had there. Then, after all this, a few of the local guys insisted on taking some of us on a sightseeing tour of the city, which included stopping at various junctions and calling some of the extremely attractive "ladies" over to ask the price. Then taking great delight in pointing out the "ladies" Adam's apple and deep voices! I think that this was by way of a warning to us foreigners! A great city, but you've got to have your wits about you there!4 points

Since Tym disappeared it's difficult not to notice you're sex obsessed. I'm not too sure if all that religious stuff isn't twisting your melon. If I was a crude person I'd say for fucks sake would you go and get yourself laid, if not for yourself then the good of humanity, you know Jesus wants you too... yes he does.2 points

I didn't get any pics of our Christmas day feed but My Sister dis us proud. We we're expecting a cold buffet and we'd brought cheese ( French , smelly) and wine ( White, St Bris, sauvignon and Red, St Bris, Cesar) but she surprised us with a massive tradional Christmas dinner. Ham in place of turkey but otherwise the full monty, sprouts, stuffing balls, bread sauce, pigs in blankets etc etc etc. I hadn't had a "Proper" Christmas dinner in 20 years so Best Christmas Present Ever! This was our new years trough, just the 4 of us ( No1 being still in Liverpool) we'd visited Bicester Village luxury designer outlet hell-hole on the 28th cos the twins wanted Vivienne Westwood Jewlery, which they got. On arriving home on the 29th we learned of Westwood's death. the twins wanted to do a Vivienne Westwood themed table : Then came the food. The "entrée" ( which I skipped and just had another drink) forgetting to take a pic till after the battle... A dozen "Escargots de Bourgone aux beurre d'ail" ( Snails in garlic butter sauce). Followed by Honey braised beef in a cider sauce with Gratin Dauphinoise, All washed down with a nice bottle of Chablis. Yule log from the local patisserie to finish but I was too pissed and busy eating to take a pic2 points

Nevermind, this a prediction thread as in Nostradamus, I'll give more info later but start to get extra cans of tomatoes (Italian) and fish and lots of rice you will at least have a meal, those are the only tinned food cans that you should have.1 point

I had a whistle stop in Milan and decided to do a fast guided tour on a Segway (such a lot to see and didn't want to spend all day walking or in a taxi) it was excellent. Went to the opera house, beautiful. The roads were shocking and there were pick pockets everywhere (same as most cities) but I loved it and I don't like cities much. Your boy might enjoy the fast tour too?!1 point

My main focus this year will be my sons 30th birthday. He's always wanted to go to the Teatro Alla Scala in Milan to watch an opera. Unfortunately we have to include a visit to the mother-in-laws in Caserta at the same time (the other end of Italy) or there will be hell to pay. Going to Dent for XRV/Big Trailie rally in September as one of the guys is turning 70 so I don't want to miss that. I'd love to fit a Euro trip in as well but we'll have to see how that goes,1 point
