This is on my holiday music memory stick which sits plugged into my garage stereo between trips. It came up today on the random setting whilst cleaning my brakes, best version of an old song I think. I especially like the part near the end where he sings with so much gusto he could be passing a cannon ball.

That reminds me of one of my most favourite depressing songs, the poor rat…

I’m the rat…:classic_laugh:

I saw the last episode of The Cleaner this week. A bloke who had died had asked that at his wake there was a Shakin' Stevens tribute act. The Cleaner booked The Shaking Stephens. The lead singer of the tribute band in the programme was played by the real Shakin' Stevens.

Anyway, he popped up on my Youtube feed with a new song, so here is some classical Welsh music:-

That new track is pretty decent, I mean he must be about 103 years old now :classic_unsure:

The hair hasn't changed colour though. Not a bad song, you're right.

I watched this just to see how the singer from Dexy's looks now (rough). The narrow cobbled alley at the start is Voss Street, scene of the first time I ever drove a 4 wheeled vehicle on the road, a works escort van from one end to the other after I asked my mate if I could have a try. I didn't take actual driving lessons for another 2 years.

Notice that he gets no strange looks whilst wandering along Bethnal green Road market, they are used to much worse than a bad pair of trousers. Although I did see a Moslem woman covering her face with her head scarf when she realised she was on film.

Groundbreaking album!

Yeah it was talking about my L Plate mates that reminded me of it,  Peaches and the album itself was the soundtrack of the summer for us.   Down at the Beaches looking at the Peaches. 😎

I saw them at the Cornwall Coliseum, which was at Crinnis Beach.  Can't remember the year.  Loved the Stranglers.
