Spent the best part of the day servicing the scooter………apart from the spark plug. Utterly ridiculous to make it almost impossible to get at…….then stumbled across a YouTube video late on which offers a solution so I’ll investigate tomorrow.

………….and here’s the air filter that I took out. Probably the original from 2006

Spark plug replacement is fiddly, but doable......on my scoot I remove the under seat tub to get to the spark plug, don't know if you can do it on yours,  which make it a doddle to do.

I watched that video and thought it would be just about doable……….not a chance of getting the plug cap off without damaging it.

I’ll investigate further tomorrow but if all else fails then yes, I’ll have to dismantle the bloody bodywork to remove the seat tub and gain access to the spark plug.

Maybe just my scoot.......I just remove 4 nuts and the tub pulls out and all the engine is easily accessed..... best of luck.

Look on YouTube,  there is a video on there, it is easy enough to remove the tub to gain access.

That has got to be one of the worst air filter elements I've ever seen and remember that I mainly ride with off road bikes.
