Nope her "You just hear what you want to hear" no longer applies. As said, it has some benefits, and some downsides too, I won't be able hear the car when it's about to blow its big ends. But strangly I can hear the sodding brakes squeal when slowing down.

Best thing ive bought recently are some really good noise canceling earbuds. Now my wife has to get up and come find me to speak to me rather than just sitting there and shouting from a different part of the house. Drives her nuts. She's not worked out yet that with them being connected to my phone she can just call me ... which will drive me nuts... but ive had em for over a year now ...

YamaHead
Oh Lyn, I feel your pain mate. I spent a good year crying my eyes out after Jana passed. I drove to a beautiful place called Black Horse creek & spread her ashes, along with ashes of our son & her Dad. She just wanted to be near water, so I made that last wish happen. It absolutely tore me up at 1st....but with time, it also brought me some real Peace. I truly hope & Pray that you find that Peace as well.

SORRY all: Never need to apologise on here Lyn. 60 years, I'd be broken if I lost Mandi after only 35. We watched Mandis step dad deal with Mandis mums passing. He kept her next to a photo for 2 years before he let us spread her ashes. He'd also talk to her, passing comments. Think it was his way of letting go.

busabeast
Well thats 465 quid just spend on new front brakes for the car... cant complain as it does need them as think the pads are abit low and the front right caliper is binding so opted to replace both front calipers, disks and pads so hopefully it will be fit for another 10 years or so

YamaHead
Well this old man got some great news today....My son has made it back to OR & is finally out of Israel! Got a text reply from him today telling me he'll be state-side for another year while he waits for his top-secret security clearance to clear before he heads off to Germany into more of an Administrative position w/ the company he works for....No More sand people & war zones to work in! He also told me that my oldest G-son is moving back to OR from NM....so I called him straight away to get the low-down. His job w/ NASA turned out to be a dead end...so he sold his house in NM & scored a job w/ Amazon at a new data center in Hermiston OR...just over an hour away from Elgin ....he starts the 12th of Jan. I'm so stoked & I can't wait to see my Great G-son...he's a beautiful boy & an absolute Chip Off The Old Block....

Saul
Been out washing and polishing my old Jalopy this morning. Gave it a treat for Christmas. May make a start with this kit later, if I can get my backside of the sofa. Mind you if the sun shows it face might go for a bimble around instead.

Just kidding...lol , Im with you on this one , can't stand dirty things...I wash my truck 3 or 4 times a week , and the interior has to be spotless.... My Mrs reckons I have got some sort of 'ism' but then again she is a cheeky bitch. I like shiney car and bikes, not fussed about expensive cars or bikes as long as they are interesting, work well and clean.
