And yes I know washing my bike in the rain is questionable in mental heath terms but the dirt was bothering me 😳

I wish I was like you!

Yesterday - clearing up leaves and smoking the place out burning them.

Today - village Remembrance Day parade / service.  I have a lot of local military and ex military friends. They go straight to the pub from the service and stay there until chucking out time. I will wander up there in a bit for a couple.

You are going to try to fix it yourself? What could possibly go wrong?

Not much to it actually....when it was originally installed the exaust or stail air would exit directly outside about 3 feet away from the intake...not only it would probably sucking back in the old air , their is something like a heat exchanger but still would be loosing heat...so I moved the exaust venting in the garage..what ever heat coming out it stays into the garage...

Intake on left...I just left the old trap door in place instead of messing around with the siding...seal it up with spray foam ..

Seems a lot of dough for a centrifugal fan, but if the thing dates from 2008 you are lucky you can find parts for it. Every time I want a spare part it “ sorry sir, we stopped making those 20 mins after you originally bought it”….

Yes I figure...probably my only opinion is to have the motor rebuilt...the complet fan unit is out of stock...didn't search further....

Bank Holiday today  (rememberence day in France is on the day , not the nearest sunday) adn bizarrely nice weather, up to 17deg c and blue skies, so, having shovelled a 2nd coat of varnish on the shutter from the kids room and a first coat of rattlecan black on the ironwork for it, I got the bike out and was about to leave when a mate rang asking if I was thinking of riding and if so leaving when? I replied "now"  we met up down the road a little way and ended up doing somewhat over 200km in a loop north and east from home.  Great afternoon out

Have you thought about just sourcing an alternative electric motor? It won’t be a motor made specifically for that unit, I’m sure there are any number of alternatives that could be sourced for significantly less cash.

Haven't yet , but by looking at it , its kinda of a specific motor with those shafts exiting at both ends to attach the fans..

Its only the ground wire that was different, had to modify to fit...all back together and working....
