  2. With the fifth horseman of the apocalypse here ( mother in law) I’m having to run the bloody heating 24/7 and the log burner all day. She’s always bloody cold. I didn’t look at the meter for the first 6 weeks but the utility company have kindly emailed me to tell me my direct debit which used to cover the gas and power is now woefully behind. By the time she clears off I will probably have been able to buy another bike with the heat Ive wasted warming the place up.

  3. We sort of get fresh air through part of the bungalow, patio door seals have been knackered for a couple of years, bathroom & bedroom windows will not close fully because the tilt mechanisms are bent, and the windows mist up inside of the double glazing. The mould guy is coming in early February. PS. On the bathroom door there is a aluminium vent near the bottom, I took it off to paint the door, and guess what?, there is no hole through the door behind it.

  7. We're just on the edge of the big, nationwide cold snap. So we'll miss most of the cold - midwest and east are gonna freeze solid this week though.

  35. I was contacted by the dealer to make the appointment for the annual service of the CB500F and was supposed to take it to the dealer next Saturday. I've been checking the dealer's stock for sometime now and saw this bike's ad. It got me very interested. Called the sales guy who sold me the CB500F 2 years ago, made the deal to swap bikes yesterday on the phone and went there this afternoon to get it. Made 76km (almost 50 miles) back home and it was great (really missed the heated grips). It's obviously a Hornet as you can see, but it has the SC Project exhaust, the back seat cover, Honda sliders, Puig levers and lever protectors and a special edition SP stickers. It also had some Puig mirrors that I asked to be swapped with the stock ones as they where small and freakin ugly! What is missing and I want to add in a near future : - Heated grips; - Windscreen; - Quickshift; The CB500F is a great bike and was a great beginner bike, but this is on another level!

  37. Had a great stag do there for a mate of mine. Woke up in the morning wearing a pink dressing gown in a house I didn’t recognise. If that wasn’t bad enough I was hanging out of the back door guzzling black coffee when the milkman delivered the daily pint and said “ooooh another wedding is it?” Apparently, I was in the Best Man’s house and he’d been the Best Man at loads of weddings…….fucking hillbillies
