Been off work this weekend with the lurgy, felt like shit but still tried to get some minor stuff done. Started up the Hornet for 20 minutes to run it up to temperature to keep it happy. Also looking around my big shed/workshop found an Aldi middle aisle vice I bought years ago and had forgotten about. Got it set up in my bike gear shed for some small little jobs which it should be fine for. The Agribatt usb charger is working out fine. Was going to fit a break out switching box for electrical stuff on the CBF but could just not summon up enough fucks to give to actually do it. Lurgy got the better of me. I want to fit the break out/lightening/thunder box to make sure the heated grips switch with the ignition as well as the Aoocchi Apple player thinger I want to fit. The Oxford grips have an auto switch off feature but I don’t trust it, rather they were on the key. Shadow has been out on her bike all day in this weather. She has the biker attitude. I did send her a £10 so she could get some lunch out. She has told me to stop fussing as she has layers on and is not cold.5 points

Went out a got some shopping she'd forgotten and dumped the excess of empty bottles we'd accumulated, that is all. Sat here and done nothing. Pisses me off when I look back as I'm not normally a lazy basted but I'm still sitting here and now got a bottle of wine open.4 points

You could go and visit them, get drunk on their booze and then you can’t drive home! There, solved it!3 points

Went up to the Dainese outlet and somehow now solved my pants problem by buying something with gore tex, plus my first ever pair of proper touring boots. I’m used to more casual boots more like work boots with proper leather and stitched soles. Hopefully this’ll feel better in the proper winter and rain. Will leave my rain gear at home, and that’ll free some space in the right case.3 points

It's about 108 miles to Richland WA 1 way.... & it's 280+ miles to Portland from my place. The route I'll be taking to John Day is longer as it's through the center of OR...but MUCH more pleasant as it's on a 2-lane vs. that bloody Interstate.3 points

Just in case you are unaware, there is a motorcycle tour organiser called Turtle Moto Tours ( www.turtlemototours.com) run by me, with the help of Pedro, and that route ( or parts of it) is on the list of what we offer. In case you and your mates would like to come on a hassle free trip, that's what we can do!!3 points

If the bolt is cross threaded or something then it is a problem, for the narrow ones you need carbide or titanium. I find a left hand drill bit often does the job better.2 points

Mandis having knee probs amongst others and as she's having trouble getting out of her chair we played with extra cushions and then decided to screw some wood to the under side to raise the whole 2 seater. That was yesterday which as always included some shopping. No chocolate readybrek was found so I'm adding some drinking chocolate to the original flavour, not the same though. Currently sitting here watch the rain, haven't got a clue what to do today.2 points

Possibly the most inappropriately named tool ever. They never bloody work. Tried to extract a mangled screw this afternoon ( not on a bike), half an hr buggering about with the extractor in the end gave up and drilled it and wound it out with mole grips. Has anyone ever actually successfully extracted anything with an easy out, if so what brand did you use? Maybe mine are just shit.1 point

@Pedro, don't listen to them, you will know if you have put on too much weight if @Six30 starts hitting on you.1 point
