Byron did actually sing his part, but Ken Hensley didn't sing his! The story behind it is that Byron couldn't sing that particular section......it wasn't within his vocal range. Hensley couldn't do it either. So they got Mark Clarke from Colosseum in to do it! And the irony is that Mark Clarke wasn't even the lead singer of Colosseum! In fact Mark Clarke did tour with them for a few months in 72 because him and Ken Hensley were good friends, but he didn't want to join them as a member.
