Yes a few friends have them running in their sheds and they work well...I just didn't want to punch a hole in the wall for the exaust ...maybe its just me but I was a little sketchy to leave the unit run by itself...its why I went with the electric heater... I have mine set up to take fresh air from the outside as well. I know where you are coming from with the thing though, my external walls are brick, Id be cautious running the hot exhaust out thro a wooden wall. Yes mate it’s belt drive and apart from the first few feet as you pull away it’s absolutely fine. Start with the simple stuff, check the brake.... also if the scoot makes the noise with the scoot not turned on and not under load you can discount the CV transmission making the sound. Also check the oil (hopefully there will be some) in the final drive gears, they turn while the scoot is being pushed around. Also check the wheel bearings... Yes it makes the noise when it’s not running but it’s not constant. I put a bit of tape on the wheel at the point the noise happens and it takes exactly one revolution to make the noise again. The consensus on the forum is that it’s the brake calliper so I’ll get it down to my mates place tomorrow and we’ll investigate. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
