Just ordered this which will hopefully help with the cough.

Cos i've found that once the dry air from the Pellet Burner gets to me then it kicks it off.

Humidifier and Purifier

What you need Pete is a good doze of penasiline...trust me .

The particulates in solid fuels are a shocker for causing breathing problems. The purifiers we use at home do an incredible job bringing down the pollen count for my hayfever suffering son but they are a physical filter not an ioniser, ionisers I believe do small particles like tobacco smoke. Anyway sounds good, fingers crossed 🤞

I've had antibiotics for my Laryngitis and Sinusitis!

What I'm dealing with now is the fallout from the virus itself.

You could do part of it the old fashioned way til then and stick a saucer of warm water on top of a heat source (radiator, boiler etc) and depending on what type of cough you have a drop or two of Oilbus Oil or other decongestant in the water can be pleasant.

I used to hang plastic things on the radiators that held water. Always forgetting to top them up though.

I forgot about those things. Then again humidity is something we’re generally trying to get rid of in this country 😆

Damp!! Tell me about it.

We are waiting for date for the guys to come and sort out our kitchen and bathroom ceilings.

There is more culture on our ceilings than there is in Australia. 😂

The new bits of tech are not funded by the NHS, it's the company they recommend I'm dealing with and when they arrive the NHS audiology dept will set it all up 👍

That's good 👍.....the girls are good at our audiolgy dept......but not very up to date with accessories which are not available.....as they do not stock them.

I can make or tail of what accessories will work with my aids..........thicko me. 😂

That is because it's a mind melting minefield with information holes bigger than the Grand Canyon!

You'll need receivers (boots) for your hearing aids and the pen updated. These people are who my NHS audiology dept recommends and who I purchased the original pen from, they are excellent and will be able to tell you what receivers you need. Get your wife to ring them with your hearing aid make n model at the ready and ask them what you need, they don't over sell, in fact he honestly told me two pieces of tech were of no use to me. They also let you return stuff that doesn't work for you.

There will be someone in the department who specialises in the Phonak accessories (usually the senior audiologist/technician) so you have to ask for an appt with them. That is why I have to go back, because the technician who set up my hearing aids can't navigate the compatibility minefield either!

Brilliant.  What to you paint/coat it with or will it be staying white?

It won't be white. It most likely won't even be that actual part. I won't worry about the type of paint until the part is finally finalized for the final and last and final final time, instead of that  white part which will be bolted to the bike during the mock up phase. Basically I'm putting everything in the general shape I'm going to use for now, then I'll tear it back down and do the final finish on everything, painting and polishing the bits as they go back together.

I may reprint the light housing in ABS (the stuff things like Legos are made out of) before it gets painted? That would require building an enclosure for the printer though. The ideal case would be to print it out of wax and use that for a pattern to have it cast out of aluminum. There are filaments available intended for lost wax casting but that would probably take another redesign or three to make it better suited for the task. I thought about trying that at home (my dad sandcast some things for me back when I was a little guy, he taught metal shop in school) but will probably try to find an artist type to do the actual casting. But if I do that it'll probably come back to me in bronze... hmm... a bronze tail light... that'd set it apart in a crowd I suppose.

And now through the wonder of mock up parts, I've found my fancy fender mounts prevent me from fitting/removing the chain guard with the fender/chain in place. Which isn't ideal. Looks like a two piece guard is in the cards. Back to the drawing board... and the last part for the one piece guard hasn't even been removed from the print bed yet.
