Not so much that......though obviously he's concerned.

It's more the way that the country has gone in recent years as I understand it.

A Russian missile strike on a Ukrainian depot 7.5 miles from the Polish border at the weekend! Lots of NATO troops in Norway and Lithuania on "manoeuvres"! Inching closer to a full scale war!

Heavy casualties there, and possibly NATO instructors working.

If one missile goes over that border then it's going to kick off!

Just taking to my boy in Poland......some of the people he knows in work are starting to make plans for what they're going to do if it kicks off.

It seems that heading for Germany is what most of them are thinking.

Just seen reports that US military are loading a huge number of vehicles tonight in Rzeszow, Poland......which is around 60 miles from Ukraine border.

if he is asking them for help , could be a sign he is not going to use his nukes ?? not on Ukraine any way.

He wants to take control of the country and all it's assets......so leaving as much intact as possible is in his interests.

Same goes for Poland and the other former Soviet satellite countries.

If he does go nuclear then the US, and to a lesser extent the UK, will be his targets.

You may remember a few days ago I posted a great analysis by a Finnish military logistics guy regarding the 40 mile Russian convoy that's stuck.

He's posted an update now and he breaks everything right down.

It is day 19 of Ukraine War. On Day 1, a mysterious convoy of 40 miles (64km) became stuck on the shortest road from Belarus to Kyiv. & while an obvious target for ambush, Ukraine did not destroy this convoy.

Was a BRILLIANT tactical move!

Tactically Russia should be nuked right now, take them off the world stage for good. See what china thinks about that. Wont happen, and China notices your weakness. :littleguy:

If they don't fight him in Ukraine they're going to be fighting him somewhere else.

Promising ?

Some interesting comments from Volodomyr Zelenskyy are emerging, around Ukraine and its potential NATO membership.

Having said before Russia's invasion that he wanted his country to become part of the alliance, he was quoted last week as saying he had "cooled" on the idea.

While the prospects of Ukraine joining NATO have always seemed remote, one of Vladimir Putin's key demands ahead of the invasion was a ban on this ever happening.

And in a further shift, Mr Zelenskyy has said this afternoon that his country must recognise there "is not an open door" to NATO membership.

The president went on to say that "Ukraine understands it is not in NATO", while proposing a way for the nation to protect its skies independently.

It comes after comments overnight in which he said his negotiators had said the current developments in peace talks were "pretty good".

"But let's see," he added.

It remains to be seen if his positivity is misplaced or not, and the White House said overnight that it saw "no evidence" of the kind of de-escalation from Mr Putin that it believes is necessary to foster the "good faith" required for peace talks to succeed.

Nevertheless, if Ukraine were to entirely rule out ever becoming a NATO member, that would carry considerable symbolism in the continuing negotiations.
