Spain’s Health Ministry has decided it will not order any more doses of the AstraZeneca vaccine. This comes after confirmation from regional authorities in the country’s 17 autonomous communities that they have the necessary doses to vaccinate the remaining people in the 60 to 69 age group who received the first dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine. Spain has picked up the pace of vaccination of this group, the only group which was finally allocated the UK-Swedish produced vaccine after a small number of cases involving blood clot side effects. With the emergence of the Delta variant in Spain, regional governments brought forward the second AstraZeneca vaccine of people in their sixties, taking the full vaccination rate from under 50 percent in late June to 78 percent on July 19th. However, the are still more than a million people in the 60 to 69 age group in Spain who have not received their second and final AZ dose. According to health authorities, there are enough AstraZeneca doses of the 10 million received still in stock for the remaining people to be fully immunised.

So today my tree was brought home. Maria picked a handful of Argan nuts off the floor in Morocco, and about 3 years ago I one of them started growing with a little help from myself: Yesterday, aproximately 3 years since it started growing, I wanted to give it a chance to grow and this home is where it belongs. So, using a friend's van I drove it 250km home And it was put on the ground with the help of a stake to help it cope with the high wind here for the first few weeks, and also to help straighten her a little bit. I finished watering when it was already dark and freezing. Also brought 60 new plants to help turn this garden around, so tomorrow is going to be busy gardening.

Well that is sort of true. The vaccination gives your body’s immune system a memory of what the unwanted virus looks like so when the real deal turns up your immune systems bouncers are ready to go. A side effect of this in people with a reasonable immune response is the virus is wiped out before it gets a hold or to the shedding stage which is where you are shedding diseased cells and can infect other people. The shedding timing is different in different diseases. So by their very nature all immunisations cut down on disease transmission. This is how the herd immunity effect works, it helps to protect the unvaccinated because it becomes difficult for the virus to transmit and that gives protection to the morons who dont want to get vaccinated. So yes someone can have a vaccination and still catch a disease and pass it on its just at a vastly reduced rate. Its not something they want to broadcast at the moment because its not useful for compliance with mask wearing or crowd control before they have enough people jabbed.
