Tires - Dunlop Trailmax Mission

Earache

Recommended Posts

Has anyone tried these yet? I just a set spooned onto the Super Tenere yesterday - hoping they do well.

What sucked me in was the tread depth; which I, rightfully or wrongfully, equate to tire life. Front has a depth of 8.5mm and the rear has 11.250 mm tread depth. Seemed to be a bit deeper than some ofthe other on/off road tires.

Price was acceptable to me at $139 front and $169 rear.

So now we wait and see what they're like.

Never used them......they're a 50/50 tyre I think?

They sell them as 50/50 but I'd believe they're more like a 80/20 leaning towards street use more.

Felt really odd on the freeway coming home last night - wandering a bit off of a straight line. But that could have been my suspect riding skills or the fact that they're a new tire I'm not used to. Bit of a humm from the front at 40-50 mph, but that's expected.

I can't see they're an 80/20.......at a push 70/30.

I'v no idea how they come up with these ratios. Dave in the marketing department probably throws a dart at a board or something.?

@XTreme you need to stick with Deathwings.

I'm not interested in them...... @Earache is! I've always been a Tourance Man!

And when I've bought a bike with Deathwings on I've got them off ASAP!

I've always had Tourances on my GS - they were a great road tire, but not so much off road.

Next time I want to fit some 70/30 or 50/50 I might go for MotoZ, these look to be a little bit less roady than my TKC70, being Dunlops they will probably smooth and safe on road

Yes i googled them made by Vee rubber i believe, they don't seem to have the correct size for any of my bikes so probably why i hadn't heard of them.

Just had a quick look on google myself
Yes it was the cats paw tyres on my XL. That had a 23 inch front wheel and at the time you couldn't get much else.
Can't remember who made them as what you see now are copies.
