Been and filled the car with £35 of Asda,s finest E10, ventured into the shop for a few fresh vegetables, with luck we can avoid the place till the Saturday after New Year.

Wish I had the enthusiasm for cleaning my car like @Saul has, mine is filthy on the outside and just as bad inside too,

Been weighing up my options, i will run the car till mid summer, then look for a (cheap) car (most likely another Dacia) with a full years MOT on it, what with the rear axle, clutch and exhaust, it is kinda (getting/got) beyond worth the outlay.......I know it's a shitbox, but it has been a good car for the years I have had it.

Merry Christmas to you lot. 🎅

What makes you think the other one someone else is selling for cheap won't have the same issues?

Spending Christmas with my mum and my brother, just us three tonight. Day after tomorrow meeting with Sofia for a few days, and would like to take the bike and spend a full day to get there.

Thinking of washing it in a bit, it's dirty from rain on the motorway and it's sunny out, but chilly so might not do it. I'm embarrassed to be on the same forum as @Saul

I would check the known faults, that's why I would get another Dacia, know what to look for, and keep my present one for spares if needed.

Just been out on my Triumph, it has sand and some read splatter on it, not dirty but still trying not to think about it.  😳🤣

I ended up giving mine a wash, and a 30 minute ride around the neighborhood too warm it up and get the water out of the nooks.

At the request of our two youngest, home from uni or a couple of weeks we have done Christmas at home, just the 5 of us this year. being skint ( as ever) we just did really cheapo gifts this year, but as meny as possible, individually wrapped under the tree so that here was a huge pile of them. I think a pocket knif that the 3 girls clubbed together for and gave to me was the most expensive one on the year. We had beer, wine and nibbles till late last night, did the presents this morning and had a proper Christmas dinner with Poularde Roti, Gratin Dauphinoise, ( that's roast fat chicken and spuds in cream sauce to you along with broccoli, yorkshire pudding and gravy.  😱  preceeded by aperitifs and accompanied by a nice local red wine.

Now I am doing my best imitation of a beached whale on the sofa...

Quiet family dinner for Me and the Mrs with the 3 kids and How High so six of us in the end.   Crackers and party hats the whole deal.  I laughed when How High suggested games after dinner all three of my kids said: “No we don’t play games with Dad”.  🤣🤣🤣  I don’t believe in competing unless it’s to win.  Shadow has inherited that from me, the other two not so much 🤨    Everyone is in a food coma apart from Shadow who is kicking How Highs ass in a game on the computer.    Of course she is 🤣🤣🤣

I got a good haul of prezzies, triumph shirt 3 hats, a pack of Nordic socks and an armoured bike Hoodie.  All stuff I actually wanted.   Kids and how high all got what they wanted and more.   I bought the Mrs a set of tyres for her X3 which is what she asked for, still feel a bit guilty I never got her something else even after spending £400 on her.   Women are good at that sort of thing.   Been a bloody lovely Christmas much like we used to have when the kids were small.  ❤️

How long have you been married? When she says all she wants is “x”, it means exactly the opposite. You will pay for that unless you miraculously come up with a post Christmas gift strategically framed as “something just for her, not for everyone else to see”. I suggest a spa day.

The normal booze and chocolate here. Went to see the grandkids in the morning which is all fun.
Had the oldest round last night, good to see him as he doesn't appear often. Mandi done a good plate of food which is pressing for the throne room.
Just washed and cleared everything away ready for "take 2" when the daughter gets here then it's the whole family day on the 28th.
