busabeast Posted Friday at 15:50 Share Posted Friday at 15:50 Well we arent driving on tachograph laws so we're on uk law which should limit us to 11 hours working a day with 11 hours off, but they dont seem to really worry about the hours thing

In my job we do 13 hour shifts (not all driving) and can't go over by a minute.

Absolutely , sorry Rich but YOU'RE the one doing those shifts , not your employers . It will come down on you if you get caught

I think its expected because the foreigners do it, its not right but not much i can do about it apart from refuse if I feel fatigued, which i have done and didnt get penalised for

Saul
Happily dozing in front of the fire a 10:30 PM and the Mrs rings and has a puncture picking Shadow and How High up from the Pub. FFS, anyway belt out there and gave them my car to get home and I set about changing her tyre to get her car home. The flat tire on her car is Fecked as it has a split in the side wall, I was hoping to plug it but that wasn't an option. Anyway got the Space Saver out and on but I am sure that was down on pressure, I couldn't get the metal valve cap off to add more so had to chance it for the 7 miles to get home. No tools in her car. Never went above 30 mph and got home safe. Booked her car into Quick Fit for a new set of 4 tyres on Monday afternoon, not a bill I needed before Christmas. Timing is bad but it needs new tyres for it's Mot in January so not the end of the world.
