What?? You walked??!!

Strolled for a couple of miles in the sunshine, so many different brilliant blues accompanied by a soundtrack of waves crashing on shingle. Good for the soul. Especially when it’s followed by bacon 🥓 😂

Some abandoned something or other that Mr Slowly tried to persuade me was an old cinema, even he couldn’t quite land that one 😂

This is not so lovely, you didn't happen to see a Welsh/Ginger/Dago bloke in their looking for dead dogs by chance :classic_unsure:

It’s all lovely where the old part is and where it’s been developed by the seafront but if you walk far enough it comes to an abrupt halt at the end of the shingle.

There’s a lot more development going ahead, I could see Salobreña changing from a sweet seaside place used predominantly by the Spanish into something more sprawling and touristy. I’d put money on that abandoned bit being developed in the next couple of years.

Then again Motril is next door and they already do all of that stuff so hopefully not!

The official walk was called off today because it was pissing down all morning, but I decided to do my own thing instead. No bikes involved, only shank's pony!

A short and slightly chilly ebike ride this morning. At least the sun was shining! A better average speed, because I was on my own and only stopped a couple of times.

Bloody hell it was cold this morning. Average speed reduced by a fairly fierce and cold headwind and then one of the guys getting not one, but 2 punctures! Anyway, I think I feel better for it! 😂😂😂

First day back walking after a 10 day gout break.  Managed 7.5 k with the Dear Boy.  Bloody lovely out there.   7 degrees C but didn't feel cold at all, probably be different when the Sun goes down.

Well out and about with my Ginger Bud today.  Bloody cold 2.5C so definite nip in the air.   I was surprised to see two warships out in the bay this morning.  I say surprised because I haven't see any for weeks and they are normally a common site given my close proximity to Devonport Dockyard.  I normally see a couple every week but haven't for months. Obviously something to do with events in the east.  Lovely light and not many people around which I do prefer,  I like to have the place to myself in a selfish way.   I am sure the Dear Boy had a blast and even found a couple of squirrels to chase.  Not as good at catching them as rats.    Found a bit of boat down on the beach.  Always entertains me to find a bit of plate. How does it get there, not as if it floated in.

Cracking pics @Saul , you certainly live in a lovely part of UK 👍

Cheers Bob, lucky to have this on my doorstep. I have no real love for Fowey town but I would miss the coast path if we ever moved.

Does the old Fowey ferry still run? Went on it a number of times when I was a kid on holiday with my parents.

There are still two ferries across the river.  Foot passenger ferry between Polruan and Fowey and the car ferry between Bodinnick and Fowey.    I worked on the car ferry for a few months.  Idyllic job on the river but the boss was less than pleasant.   Both ferries are owned by the same people.

Finally managed to get out for a walk today with the Dear Boy.   Been off the treadmill for 19 days and not feeling that good.   Eating too much crap and inactivity are not good for your waistline or mental health.    Combination of Christmas, work and gout just took me away from the right path.   But today was the first day of the new regime back on it as both Odie and I need to shed the Christmas chub.      Only managed 5.5 k but start small and often will make it sustainable.    Anyway we went to Parbados did the community fields then a full circle of the beach.   Noticed that the rivers are full shame the reservoirs down here aren’t.   Something wrong somewhere.
