  1. My brother has finally finished his Ossa MAR project...he built the frame, exhaust from scratch. Just needs a bash plate. The gold rims are from my XT 600....laced to Ossa hubs. The frame geometry was designed to fit his 6'-2" stature & I'm sure he can't wait to ride this beast once he gets home from Fire duty @ work. He amazes me with his mad skillz....Being a helicopter crew chief, he's a helluva wrench!
  2. Did plenty of that last night... Enjoying some brilliant weather today whilst I recover...
  3. Gotta finish a drawing that I started last night for my MetalFab mate....who I haven't heard from since Feb. Then out this afternoon w/ the Mrs. to some friends' place for dinner. Waiting for this south wind to finish bringing down the leaves so I can break out the leaf blower (Industrial Hairdryer) & my brand new strimmer for a yardwork session. Lovely weather we're having right now so a Ride is definitely in the cards.

    St Mawes

Looks like a nice day for a spin w/ your mates @Saul....
  5. About the same Rule-F*ckery I get for posting MY bike....even though it's got 2-Wheels & a motor....it' all because it's got pedals instead of foot pegs. Oh well...I did all y'all a favor & banned myself. I'm quite content w/ just Riding in areas that you wish were in.
  6. Sounds like the dumb-ass hunters that reside in a larger city.... you never see hunters where I live now- wearing those day glow vests...strictly camo. & alot of them are bow hunting this month. Venison's great but you haven't lived until you've had Elk or Buffalo!

    Tempted

    Nice Trumpet....interesting pipe.
  8. Are you kidding?.....had him on speed-dial...lol Funny enough, my brother back then looked just like Shaggy....scruffy bastard w/ a Husky dog about the same size as Scoob.
  9. You know it!.... was an absolute pleasure to work on when it came time for servicing. I had a single car garage @ the time....that was full of Motorcycles, so had to do it all outside in the elements....but was NO problem w/ the motor in between the front seats....just take the lid off the hinged "dogbox" & have full access. I even fit a fresh set of rings & a rebuilt cylinder head all from inside the van. The driveshaft was only 30" long between a 3-speed manual gearbox & a 12 bolt differential rear end. I would take my son skiing for his birthday every Jan. & it was like a rolling locker....just throw all the gear in & GO--
  10. I used to have a '67 Chevy van.... I lined it myself w/ insulation & carpet. 90" wheelbase made it easy to park it just about anywhere. Did plenty of Riding, Camping & Skiing with it....had a 4.8 ltr. IL6 that was bulletproof....Still miss that old Beast. Not mine, but looked quite similar....
  11. Great report @Pedro....those smokey sky's are no fun....we see them here every summer.
  12. Nice collection of hardware there Dave..... that 400 is a peach of an RD....
  13. There's a market I pass by twice a week that serves a Cheeseburger soup.... the stuff is the Bomb!.....So tasty! Don't knock it till you try it....
  14. Probably not.....but I bet it woulda ended up some sort of "Bob Approved" Maico red....
  15. Back from camping yesterday....view out the back of our site....
  16. The Mrs. & I will be fine tuning the ergo's on her trike today....& then possibly a Ride on this optimum-weather day. Then prepping for our 2-night camping trip beginning on Monday....Destination here:
  17. Thunder & Lightning here last night....fortunately things didn't get too wet.... just gotta finish repairing the tent for our up-coming camping trip on Monday.
  18. Hard to say for sure.... maybe he's just hiding on the underside of that flat Earth theory?....

I used to ride anytime, anywhere, & in any weather condition....TBH- I still miss that @ times. But I think I'm along the same lines as Fred....when the conditions are right, riding at night can be quite pleasurable.
  20. I can relate Bob....our pear tree has virtually NO produce this year....& very little on the Italian plumb trees. It was a Bumper crop last year, too bleedin' hot this summer w/ minimal rain in the spring....
  21. Was out for a kwik spin on the bike this morning....back down Clark creek road....came around a corner & a rabbit jumped out in front of me, crossed the road & was sprinting down the opposite shoulder. I was maintaining 26mph & was NOT catching him....Swift little bugger!
  22. Made it to Jubilee lake on Monday.....drove 10 miles of absolute dry washboard-rippled gravel road....rattle your fillings loose!! Lost 2 oars off my boat trailer that I didn't realize. Then the trailer tongue unhitched itself & was hanging by the safety chain...lucky I didn't loose it. Got the 2 oars back from a top bloke who was following us. So we get there, found our reserved campsite, get set up....Nice weather....few hours later a gnarly thunderstorm rolled in & proceeded to dump on what seemed like- right over the top of us for most of the night. Our deluxe tall air mattress went flat, & the tent canopy had found it's water-proofing limit, so needless to say....got up & decided: Had enough of the sh*t! Sometimes I have a hard time facing the "AGE" factor in my life....things hurt alot more than they used to. Did manage to snap a few pics of the lake before we took a shorter & overall smoother way home that will be the norm in future.... Local Fish hatchery we passed above on the back.... Got 2 weeks now to get everything dried out & back into working order....taking the boat to Wallowa lake that trip-- best time of year to go...NO tourists w/ noisy kids!...the place just empties out!
  23. Have a Geat trip @Pedro!!.... You know Pete would be pissin' & moanin' all over this!....Lol
  24. Nice collection of 2-Wheeled hardware.....
