  1. Just browsing through Indeed for a job and was looking at a company rating and found this review. I so hope it is real as it made me laugh quite alot.

  2. Might be a bit absent for a min or two cos leaving for the Alps tomoz. Riding to Portsmouth with one woman and meeting the others for pub grub before the ferry. Forecast shite. Mr Slowly has offered to go to Brizzle n pick up a heated vest for me before I leave- won’t be turning that offer down Everyone seems very excited so I think we’ll have some fun. Stash arrived in time. The computer simulation pic doesn’t do the real thing justice but they turned out well. I’ll say HAPPY SUNDAY now, technically it is

  4. We used to call it 'crabbing' back in the day. The chassis has twisted , if that was spotted by the authorities (or any good transport manager) in UK it would be taken off the road.

  10. Few shots from today! Couldn't get the pics I wanted cos the reservoir at Negratin has hardly got any water in it cos of the drought. Most of it is now fields or marshland!

  15. Most long rigid lorries I see are twisted that way, the front wheels are rarely in line with the rears.

  17. Crap materials used on the chassis rails, loose bolts , transmission faulty , lots of possible causes.

  18. I really do love Spain and their way of being. I’m very lucky to have landed in a place thats next to the sea and used just by the Spanish. I just wish I took Spanish at school rather than French!

  29. Just cleaned up my rear caliper and give it a coating to fight the corrosion from road salt. The brake pads still seem like new thickness wise. Can't seem to wear them out. They have done about 14,000 miles since they went in. The first set that came with the bike were replaced, nearly worn out at 13k so it's all a bit odd. I'm still on the original front pads so they have done 29,000 miles. I have a new set ready to go in, but they still looked good a few weeks ago when I cleaned up the front brakes after the winter saltfest, so I never put them in. I swear I do use the brakes and they work fine so not sure what is going on. I also wire brushed and painted most of my centre stand. It was a rusty nightmare. I can't get used to not having chain oil all over that part of my bike, preserving it.

  34. If i had to commute to work everyday on a bike then something like the CB500 would be my bike of choice i cant see any other bike filling that duty better but if i wanted a leisurely cruise on a twisty country road on a bike with a bit of character i could see thumping around on that BSA would fit the bill nicely probably never buy one as i'm more into the trail bikes but wouldn't mind a go.

  35. Apparently only you Pete almost every bike or car I've bought is because i wanted it, didn't give a fuck about what you have stated there. If we all bought bikes based on that criteria there would only be a few models of bikes built and we'd be officially classed as boring fuckers

  36. I think that is spot on. I love the looks and sound of the BSA and would love one if I could have it as a garage queen to come out on sunny days. But for every day transport you could get a new Hornet for £200 more which is a whole different kettle of fish as everyday transport. Pay your money and make you choice. I would take pointy practical plastic but it doesn't stop me liking the classic looking retro.

  40. No, the foreigners. Like you say they all congregate in the same areas. Very few will talk to the brit locals although I had a short conversation with one as he passed on his push bike. I do walk fast but this chap was going so slow I'm not sure how balance was happening.

  41. Here's a tidy review for you because there's no hope in hell of getting one from @Slowlycatchymonkey Even got a bit for you in there Pete
    1 point
  42. Thing is, you're one of those people who fit in here and are in tune with the Spanish. Most aren't as you've probably seen.....they just congregate in their Brit cliques! Those are the ones who cause the "them and us" scenario so it's best never to be seen with them or the locals will think you're one of them.
