The sun is out today and I was going to go for a ride, but my old dog had a bad night last night and I think I should stay close to her today. Perhaps some yard clean up later, as it is a mess from the storms.

I will enter my Bagheera this month. Autumn Picnic... l'll call it.....

Boys 18th birthday this weekend so i'm the taxi for him and his mates but on a more interesting note when looking for a photo for bike of the month i found some photos of what i was doing on this very day and date in 2010 it was an interesting ride though the Elan Valley on the dog and with my old mate Gary

Got sent some before and after pictures of my VC stones today. They had a clean up session for them all. Issy has a chip on his M, might have to get the Polyfilla and some paint onto that.

Tyre changing for me in a moment. Got mate on his way down from Redditch heading for Exeter but stopping here to change a front tyre (I've got one in stock). Tyres are becoming a pain to get hold of, along with oil etc. I noticed that brake pads have shot up in price by about 50% as well

Currently I am reading Never Cry Wolf by Farley Mowat Love it so far, I can see why it is such a popular classic. Everything I do lately seems to lead me to the North.....

This ones non motorcycle fiction book written in a very lyrical style and even has a bit of poetry chucked in every now and then. Not being a practical or real life rendition of events its really not my cup of tea except its descriptions of nature are so well done its lovely. Ok Bob will have to fill in the exact location of this one, All i know is It was in 2011 and on a ride through the french/Italian alps with Bob and the rest of the moobs, we had spent a night or two in a small village a great place and real friendly people, when we were leaving it seamed like the whole village had turned up to see us off, as they were waving goodbye it felt like when you see those old films of loved ones being waved off to war on a train station and Freddy boy here pulled off so proudly on his Africa Twin and then ripped the pannier off his bike on a bollard, I turned around to see the horror on everyone's faces but within seconds the attention was off me as Steve pulled off on his KTM and cold stalled stopping dead and falling off, in this commotion i slammed the pannier back on and made a sharp exit, it was like a scene from laurel and hardy

Yes the ride started like this with just a bit of frost on the ground The snow came in heavy when we got to Builth wells which is where we should of turned around and headed home but both decided to head on, when we got to the Elan Valley the heavy snow had stopped so we rode up though it and over the mountain pass from Cwmystwyth to Llangurig by that time it was dark and the temperature had dropped below freezing so we we suffering, by the time we got back to Rhayader we were so cold we decided to book into a B&B and got pissed for the night and headed home in the morning which was even more interesting because the snow had now frozen, good memories of a great weekend

Did the same in the underground works car park. Forgot to take the disc lock off the front and went down like a sack of shit. Immediately jumped up, picked the bike up and made sure nobody had seen it. Went to work the next day and didn’t say a word. Didn’t need to as most people had seen it courtesy of the cctv operator. Didn’t know there was cctv in the car park.

Same here, Bob. Tires seem to be quick as always but oil is scarce. My mechanic is using BMW branded oil because his usual Castrol hasn't been available.

Not me, but a mate of mine back in the day, picked up his brand new Suzuki GT550 and rode it to our usual Friday night bike meeting place. The place was pretty crowded when he arrived, so he made his grand entrance on his new bike. When he stopped he went to put his foot down, but his jeans leg got caught on the footpeg and in slow-motion over he went, to a large cheer from the assembled crowd. We went across and helped him up, once we stopped laughing. He wanted to leave straight away, but we persuaded him to stay.
