Despite having a migraine I went out for an hour......cos somebody's got to give this place some credibility. We're just lucky that there's other forums out there where people are even more pathetic than you lot. I think the first pic could be my BOTM entry this month.......not that I'll get any votes obviously. You pricks would vote for a Burger Van or a Wheelbarrow before you'd vote for any bike of mine!8 points

A Walk to the Lake through a British Columbia Rainforest Take a lovely walk through a rainforest in British Columbia, Canada to a calm lake to enjoy the view. The day is sunny with some clouds in the sky and a warmth in the breeze. The forest is lush and the path is easy to follow, allowing you to look around and enjoy being a part of the forest for a moment of your day.6 points

A work colleague (head of Road Safety) had his KH250, a non runner, in his front garden. The little cam that drove the points had worn away or something he said and it had sat in his garden for years. One night he heard someone trying to steal it. He could hear them trying to kick start it. He told me he let them try for ages, only shouting out to scare them off when they were properly knackered.3 points

What’s the deal with pine nuts’ prices? Do they have to get into negotiations with the squirrel mafia to buy them or something?3 points

Think Ive tracked down the Donor... the engine looks identical.. or very similar indeed to the Honda CB360 which was produced from 1974 to 1976. The second photo shows a rebuild made by Slipstream Creations, based in St. Louis, Missouri. https://slipstreamcreations.com A little less radical as they seem to have kept the engine, frame and tank as well as possibly the forks and wheels.3 points

Hi everyone. I am new to this forum Don't know if I have the right place but interested in some feed back. I am 84 years old and so far have kept the shinny side up. I am planning visiting my son in UT. I was looking at Route 40 out of Denver over to UT. Was wondering if anyone had rode that road and could give me some feed back and of course advice. Thanks, Ride safe, William2 points

The engine is a Honda. Found a photo from the same shoot. The photo was very likely taken in Wyoming, as that is where the plane in the background is registered, its a Cessna 150H made in 1967 if you're interested. So... the Bike is a heavily modified Honda. and its probable that the only thing that is original is the engine and possibly the frame, but... who knows. They do tend to butcher bikes and either cannibalise others, or have parts made bespoke. Just look at those handlebars!!! So @Parker This bike is a one of a kind and has been built for a customer and then used in a photoshoot. Im betting America has plenty of bespoke builders, who could produce something very similar for you either with a donor bike you supply, or maybe there are the kinds of operations who produce bikes like this to sell from their workshop. Giving old bikes.. or parts of bikes a new lease of life. See my follow up post below.2 points

It’s a small capacity Kawasaki, probably a 125 or 250, custom front brake, hidden battery, chopped frame.2 points

I think if i was Frankenstein the dog would be my monster. So as said earlier in the week the dogs oil pump was starved of oil due to a suspected collapsed oil pipe this is it cut open its squashed when straight and when fitted its bent so definitely the problem Making a solid pipe artery to the heart of the dog has failed for the moment as my flaring tool wont work on the stainless pipe, What i made fits but wont seal at the frame. I haven't given up on it though just put it aside until i find out how the dog runs if and when i resurrect it In the meantime I got the new second hand oil pipe and after fitting the blood was running from the frame to the dogs heart freely.Turning the engine over with the CDI disconnected had the dogs life bloody up in it's head after messing about a bit getting rid of air locks which i was quite pleased about After this it was time to bring the dog to life i reconnected its brain and switched on the power and guess what Really chuffed It don't sound bad at all, i shall recheck the tappets tomorrow and then release it into the wild to see if it survives1 point

Walnuts work well, as do almonds, pistachio as well, each with a different twist. But surprisingly, old hard bread turned to crumbs on a blender are a great substitute for nuts, proper italian old school cooking with nothing. A couple of mint leaves in the green pesto also work well, if you have them fresh.1 point

My wife makes a superb spaghetti with green pesto, I quite like the red pesto as well. We've run out of pine nuts as well1 point

I was thinking the flexible part of the pipe was to allow you to get at the frame oil screen without removing the whole pipe but vibration is something i was thinking about1 point

Put it all back together today and went for a ride and as a result i had a few observations First thing was my waterproofs are no longer waterproof got bloody soaked need some new ones for the winter The bike had a clutch judder pulling off when the bike was cold it started happening just before i did the cam chain this has now gone now, i did put it down to cooking the clutch going over Barmouth hills many years ago the metal plates in there are blue and thought its on its way out, but i'm more inclined to think it was dry clutch plates from lack of oil now After the cam chain replacement i noticed the bike was running a lot cooler than it used to on the dipstick temperature gauge i did think this was down to me giving the carb a good clean and thought there might have been a blocked jet before which made the bike run lean it is now back to the temperature it used to run at. i think it was because there was very little oil being circulated around the engine so the oil never got that hot in the tank on the way home the ticky noises returned so i will be checking the valve clearances again tomorrow just to check that is still the noise i am hearing and nothing else has developed on the ride. I'm beginning to think my worn out cam chain and guides was down to this oil problem and not old age as first thought Apart from that the bike ran flawlessly and seems the bottom end has survived. Now i don't know what to do if there was a new 650 single out there like the DR650 or XR650L i think i would be purchasing it right now because i'm fed up working on them, all i want to do is ride what i do know is there's going to be some desperados going down the hatch tonight1 point

Indeed. Turns out he had 4 cracked ribs, a small laceration on the liver (which was fixed) and a punctured spleen, which was taken out this morning. Now he's on the surgical recovery and shall remain there for a few days. Fuck knows how he managed this shit falling from a stepladder. My plans for August have drastically changed Nice! Plenty of excitement outside, though Also saw an old Buick going to the supermarket, all the way from Sweden!1 point

Well we aren’t get that many deaths, and most people with covid are supposed to be the younger ones at the moment, plus the main variant here is delta, so they appear to work ok.1 point
