TBH a new battery is probably a worthwhile investment. Running with a slightly dodgy battery could fry the stator and reg/rec and Hondas are a bit prone to that!

I remember he  had a new regulator on it few years back  , yeh is common on Hondas, mine went on my CB1000 r, think i got mine done for free from honda must of still been under warranty .

It's not the regulators, generators are at fault. Not really big enough so over heat and burn out.

left it charging over night , fired straight up this morning , get a multimeter on it later see if its holding.

he changed oil recently, clean it right up and mot it .

But Harpic is well known for cleaning them up.

I wouldn't use anything like that.......bleach on metal can't be doing it much good.

Bleach on metal is ok as long as it's not left on too long and is well washed off. Harpic black bog cleaner works wonders on really grubby headers. 😉😂😂
