Gonna have friends over tomorrow, so I was helping the Mrs. tidy up the house a bit.... & I found a few of my long lost CD's I've been looking for! Made my day to listen to some SRV again!!...as well as some older Satch....back when he still had hair.

Not quite.... I was working @ a bike shop doing mainly tire work. One day a regular well known customer that was in tight w/ the owner & a regular racer... he shows up on a PC looking for a new rear tire....the boss locates one in the back for him, but I couldn't start on the swap before he took it to the parking lot to wear out what was left of the existing rear tire..... Smoke Show from Hell!...clear down to where you could hear the chords scraping on the inner fender.....POP!! I bet the neighbors thought the shop was on fire though.

Just a Bulbous Barge waiting for a spanner-phobic chap to piss & moan all over it.... Gotta admit though, I've seen 1 of those do a Mean smoke-show before.

Lucky the pin is still there.

Woke up to SNOW here on May 1st.... had to rinse the white stuff off the dish before the internet would work. Plus side-- the sun's breaking through & some blue sky is making itself known,

Exactly....just a play bike for him to enjoy out it the wide open spaces of Texas where he resides. He's spent the last 3+ yrs. getting his Peruvian wife here legally...who also rides bikes....& has rounded up the parts to build her one as well. I've known the guy his whole life & have never seen him happier!

My brother who's quite an accomplished spanner twirler as he's a helicopter crew chief....is also an avid spanish motorcycle fan. He's had a handful of Bultacos in the past & nowadays he's been building an Ossa 250 trials bike from scratch. Customized to fit his 6'-2" frame & following along the lines of a Mick Andrews replica. He just sent me this pic of his work in progress....I might add that he built the frame, airbox, kick start lever & pipe(next on the task list) himself, which is a pretty light package....& those gold wheels are the stock rims from my XT6 SuMo. He amazes me with his mad skills...

Tried to pull the truck outta the carport this morning to finish filling the bed up w/ yard debris....battery was completely flat....put a meter on it to see how bad it was...Flat 00.0- dead as a door nail. Drove down to La Grande & scored a battery @ WalMart for $140...finished loading yard debris to take to the dump tomorrow morning. Tonight is date night....Tequila is on the agenda. Definitely Riding on Saturday...probably farther out on Clark Creek.

School zones are marked 20 mph here....plus there's a radar trailer parked right in front of the school....fortunately, its facing in the opposite direction as I was going. Got it up to 26 mph in about 100 yards... its a rush on a mtn. bike, but not something I regularly do.

About the only noise you'll hear where I live is this mill that has sustained the town of Elgin for many years.... owned by Boise Cascade. Being the hooligan that I sometimes can be, I ripped through a school zone @ 26 mph on the way back home this morning....

Sounds like a coupla desperate construction workers on payday....

Well, @ least it wasn't as bad as some.... the infamous "I threw my back out when I farted"...

TBH....those new shocks & that front wheel outta make your hog look much better & Ride every bit as well.

Absolute cloudless sky the last 2 mornings....70f today....another Ride in the forecast.

Gonna try out a deer trail that I cleared on the north hillside of my property....an alternate route that ends right outside the kitchen door. & Friday is date night w/ the misses.... so there will be shooting of Tequila involved.

Only make that Hardley's have anything over on, is Hoover..... coz they can carry (2) dirtbags!

Just finished some awesome Tacos that the misses put together... really makes me realize how crappy my diet was for 3 decades! NOT anymore!
