What make is that lump in that beast Fred?....looks to be a SOHC 4-cylinder of some type.

No chance I can keep up with Pete's record of previously owned bikes... but I'm pretty sure I still have my "Potcher" status as I've been called before... in other words, I ain't afraid to turn a spanner & I don't have a "Tommy the Tool" to do the work for me...just like a few of you chaps. So I counted up the one's I've owned...came out to about 25 bikes over a 28 yr. period. Still have 2 left that I'm about to finish up & plan to deliver to a coupla worthy recipients...my brother & my youngest boy. So here's a few of my favorites.... My brother is getting the Sumo....tried to sell it for over a year for only $2500....not 1 bite, as it's a kick only thump. Society these days are full of nothing but pussies that can't handle NOT having the start button on the bars! My brother is 6'-4" & a helicopter crew chief who definitely knows his way around a wrench...he's my "Go To" guy when I'm stumped with mechanical woes. Perfect Recipient-- My youngest boy, I couldn't be more proud of as he's a home owner, business owner & about to become a Dad in another month or so.... this was his 9th birthday present that I've gone completely through.... can't wait to see him teach his kids how to ride it! This post wouldn't be complete w/o this "Party on 2-Wheels" that was an absolute blast to ride.... Then there's the bike that started my Red/White affliction... rode it daily for 13 yrs. through every weather condition possible here in the PNW....including an earthquake whilst doing a good buck & a quarter on the freeway heading to work one morning.... 1 of thee scariest moments of my entire life! Now, this one really put the "FUN" back into riding for me....went to new/different places more than any other bike prior.... Then age & the need to carry the misses along as she rode as well for awhile.... found this beast just down the road from where I lived. I also did a 2500 mile trip down to AZ & back in only 98 hrs. That was a blast-- Then there's this Taiwanese job that was the last bike I actually rode....actually had Honda motor & an awesome front brake. I high-sided this beast on the way back from the upper Clackamas river about a year before MRSA hit me. Almost died from that off.... & still to this day feel aches & pains from that accident. So, what bikes have you lot owned that are memorable?....

Pellet stove maintenance this morning...Done. Spanner twirlin' in the garage for a few.... & the usual Tequila shootin' Friday night with the misses.

The closing scene in On Any Sunday (of course)...Mert Lawill, Malcolm & McQueen....actually riding on a beach section owned by the US Air Force. Wouldn't have happened without Steve's clout.

I dug my truck outta the snow twice yesterday as I had to retrieve my missus who had a procedure done @ the hospital which is 20 miles away... Can't get my truck up our steep driveway in this white mess.... & with another 3 to 5 inches today. Well, @ least I've got great neighbors that let me park in their driveway when conditions like this arise. And now our two 4-legged alarms are going ape sh*t over an 8 point buck that just walked across the back porch.

Woke up to -14f temps this morning ....talk about crispy cold! Had a helluva time getting my truck back up the driveway on Thursday....more snow on the way.... Might just hang out in the house with the misses today....catch up on some domestic duties, like getting my income tax info sent off to the tax lady....oh joy.

And then your alarm clock went off

As much as I'd love to visit the Himalaya's, that be like telling people that I lost them in a war....but I got warned once by my boy, to NOT stoop that low... besides, he'd come find me to kick my ass into next week if I did....

19 years this March.... hard to believe.

The mullet went bye-bye when my my oldest boy passed away....it's a native America thing. His birthday was yesterday....he woulda been 44y/o. But just to "dangle the carrot" in front of you Pete.....there could possibly be a new mullet in this old fart's life....stay tuned.

Yes sir....might I also mention that MRSA took all my toes as well....just can't see the evidence in that pic due to the shoes on my feet.

Before I even got outta the hospital, I was quoted a bionic arm....for $75k! But as it turns out, Insurance paid for my current prosthetic/hook...ended up breaking the original alum. hook 4 times rebuilding a 5ltr. V8 that I put in my old truck. So I ponied up $345 for the current stainless steel hook, which works pretty well for most everything.

Man Bob, I can really relate to this....I still can feel my wrist, & all my fingers...stuffed inside my stump. I've woke up before with my stump feeling like I'm still riding....twisting the throttle, operating the brake, etc. Then there's other times when I feel nothing but stabbing needle-type pains in all 4 limbs...no clue why? I guess it boils down to being a human anomaly my whole life..... a.k.a. "Walking Scar"

Can't remember a more peaceful year for me.... my wife has alot to do with that. Gonna definitely get some more camping in next year...
