  1. Not much to see really just out for a gentle bimble as my grey mates were all weary of the weather so I went out for a mooch on my own. Did 40 miles down to Gorran to take some practice shots for BOM.

  2. Yesterday evening, me and Sofia visited the Ericeira Custom Festival, it’s on the edge of town so we walked there. It’s the second time it happens, so a pretty young event, but this year it’s already atracting lots of people and the rumble of bikes coming in and out of town is a welcomed novelty for me. Had a nice Burguer, and then the sunset made the light become really pretty pretty a bit. A Dutch tuner was there, with an ST running the 132 engine, tested at 167hp Some painters, airbrush artists, and small bike customizers too. Joaquim Rodrigues’ Dakar helmet The paintwork on this was insane: It was an evening well spent.

  4. Swing arm is out, pain in the ass it was, it has a bit of rust but it is in great shape for nearly 60k miles, the powder coaters will just need to sand blast it and paint it. It is bloody heavy.

  10. In between rain showers I got the bearings and bushes out of the swing arm. They were in pretty good shape but I have new ones including much higher quality bearings, there is definitely signs of the isolators collapsing, the new setup is significantly different. There are various videos of aligning the motor while fitting the rear axle but having examined it it can only fit one way, there is no left and right alignment other than allowing the rear of the motor to slight shift depending on the front upper and lower alignment mounts, once it is bolted up it will assume a neutral position.

  30. Melting. That’s what I’m doing today, just fecking melting. It hit 30 Celsius by 0930 this morning so it was always going to be a warm day. Cleaned the flys off the Benelli in the shade, went out and did some shopping as the missus is laid up with aching back etc and got home to find it was then 39.8 Celcius in the fecking shade. A tad too warm to do anything other than browse the interflugal, drink water and generally be lazy.

  31. Terribly sad today, Sofia’s puppy, Lea, passed away yesterday night. I knew her for 9 years now, and we were very dear to each other. It was a rough night and we now have a dog that doesn’t understand why the favourite thingin his world is not around, it’s heartbreaking.
