I know where your coming from as much as i hate football, when i was growing up it was a mans sport, not being sexist here but whatever men had going on women had to get involved and spoil it for them, Try and do it the other way around and no its for women only. As you probably know I traded my CB500F for a Hornet. I agree with the light looking a bit odd. I bought a small screen that improves things in my opinion. Ride a Hornet if you can I am confident you will be impressed, very much like the CB500 just better in every way. I love mine and the only downside for me was the higher fuel consumption, but that is the only thing I can think of and not a big deal in any way.

I am a big fan of the CB500F it is an excellent bike and for the cost I don't think anything comes close. So I understand why you don't want to change. I only did 5000 miles on mine and I couldn't really fault it, but mine was bought for commuting to work and when I decided to stop that I felt that I could buy something with a bit more fun factor which lead me to the Hornet. I looked at several other bikes but the Hornet was the right choice for me although a Triumph 660 ran it close. I think that my affection for the CB500F probably tipped me in favour of the Hornet, they are very alike in many ways.

The other one was way nicer, though. Better landscape, colours on the bike, and shows you’re not ashamed of your box.

That's when i sold it. It was sat up my old mans under a cover for years as i didn't have room here back then. I eventually got it down here and got it ready for an MOT when someone randomly knocked my door and said i hear you have a bike for sale, i only told the guy where i go for the MOT's i was thinking of selling once it had an MOT, The fucker knocking my door caught me off guard, unprepared,tight for space and skint so the ideal situation for him not so much for me sold it to him for £300, the chrome plating i had done cost me twice that. I'd like to have it back and then i wouldn't if you know what i mean.

I saw the new Hornet 750 in every colour available last Saturday. I'm not a fan of the headlight. It looks a bit weird with the screen's shape. In my opinion they made it look better on the CB500F. This being said, I still like my bike too much to look for another one.

That bike was still about in 2012 that is when the last v5 was issued

This is certainly my most memorable bike I've had. It was the first road bike i owned that i was legal to ride, i bought it part built when i was 17 years old before i had past my test and then finished it off over the next year, When i past my test i met the wife at our club meet on it, she loved bikes and still does and we spent the next four years discovering the motorcycle scene riding it all over the southern part of the UK to various motorcycle events before i moved onto other bikes, it was a hell of a time to be alive and on two wheels young and green as grass i have so many memories from riding that bike and far more forgotten ones from the partying so I've been told LOL but dirt biking is in my blood i couldn't stay on the tarmac no matter what i rode.
