  1. You were working for Norwich Union in Corn Street where you first encountered Manuel in accounts, you were attracted to his his swarthy Spanish looks and his 4'2'' height . Nothing has changed ...............

  4. Myself and 2 friends recently took a trip down to Cheddar Gorge, the views were incredible. Will be looking to do a lot more of these types of rides!

  5. A mate of mine in the UK has a holiday home over here and leaves his CRF300 Rally here to play on when he comes over. Very nice bit of kit and I’d have one when I get as old as @XTreme

  6. To give this thread some closure I finally got my Helmet today. I initially ordered a C4 Pro in my size but true to what everyone said I needed the next size up which of course they didn’t have. Anyway I returned it for a refund and waited and waited for new stock to arrive. Of course being biking season everybody wanted new lids. I bought a cheapie Viper lid in the meantime that works fine but is noisy. Anyway I changed my mind and ordered a C3 Pro in the next size up and it came today. It fits but is snug which I guess will ease a little as it breaks in. Lovely lid though and so quiet. I can wait for a long ride to try it out.

  10. I've never owned a Harley, so I've never hung out with those kinds of people Marcel! Unlike you of course, who admitted on here that you bought a Harley so you could hang out with those kinds of people. What can we learn from this?

  12. Went passed my mates Monday and noticed 2 Picassos in his garden, his wife also drives a Citroen. I found a piece of paper in the car and wrote, "Can I buy the front bumper off one of your scrap citroens in the garden?" I left my No but he hasn't contacted me yet, not sure he recognised the No either.

  13. It does seem to have strayed into ‘smack the cunt’ territory so I’m glad Mr Slowlys being responsible and restrained as it wouldn’t help the situation, in fact it would probably aid his cause! Anyway I’m away from it all Spain so that’s something

  19. Actually you're in the right ball park with this part! And I did hook up with a young lady from Canton in Cardiff on the course.......which led to the first of my numerous transgressions with this employer!

  26. @Slowlycatchymonkey Apologies for making you homesick! >_< Thanks for watching, I think we JUST managed to beat the main bulk of people by the time we arrived, we managed to get into a cafe and get seated right away and grab food although whilst we were eating it got veeeeeery busy! I did question the others about heading top side to get some better views, but none of us really knew how to get up there sadly. First time using the route map, quite liked how it turned out, will try remember to use it more! Cheers!

  27. Well that's made me homesick Nice vid. I wouldn't have flown a drone there either! Early morning or later (about 6pm) is the time to get to Cheddar if you want to avoid the crowds. Nice to see you don't ride like nobs where it's busy! The views from the top are fantastic. Loved your little map thing in the left corner showing the route progress

  38. When I inevitably visit again I shall go check out Helmet City! Thanks for the tip I'm lucky in the respect that I haven't been to many places on my bike thus far, so everything is new and exciting when I get round to them

  39. Yes there's a Jacobs ladder. Probably not one to do in bike gear on a warm day, 274 vertiginous steps All good choices. I found the North West coast of Scotland, Loch Lomond, Ben Nevis and Glencoe another level of beautiful. I love Wales too but I it's familiar to me so it doesn't have the same impact as something new! If Cheddars packed Helmet City in Cheddar (tiny little shop) have picnic benches outside and often hand out free tea n coffee. Its next door to Cheddar Ales who make some great beers -if you've got the space to carry them.

  40. Sounds like you were there in the nick of time! Mostly for the good views you need a pair of trainers and your walking legs If you like Cheddar Gorge you'll love Scotlands north west coast round Glencoe. It's stunning.

  41. Maybe you should get a Tonto, as a Picasso is a Citroen you are forgiven, here's my old one that a friend of mine still has.

  44. @XTreme Thanks buddy! This was actually my friends drone - I was too scared to fly mine with the amount of people about and the lack of GPS signal in the Gorge haha, but his is a DJI Mavic, I think the most basic one though. In my previous videos where it's been my drone flying it's an MJX bugs 18 Pro.

  45. I posted on the local Pajero forum and was educated very well, also did a mileage test on a 75k drive, used 11.75L so looking at 16l/100k, not flash but that's what I have. I have abandoned any idea of a roof top tent, to much wind resistance for a start so to much petrol, a prick to sleep in on a sloping surface, they might cost a grand but the mounting brackets are pricey as well, you need three as the roof rails slope so looking at $400 or so, fuck that. Forget water bladders as well, to much weight again, so to lose weight remove all the seats but the front ones, there goes 60 kilos and it makes a space big enough for a single bed. See photo, there are 5L water bottles and casks at the local supermarkets, store a few in the hole that the third seat used to fill. Maybe get a stretcher swag, for sleeping outside, under the new fancy wrap around awning maybe with an added dome tent. So that looks alright so far, next get a bunch of clip lock tubs for various storage needs, light and cheap, translucent so you can see what's in them. Get a good table they said so fuck the pull out kitchen, to much weight and basically for suckers who want every accessory. Get a portable battery instead if getting a second one under the bonnet, battery plus bracket kit about $400, look at this little marvel, $319 on special, AC output to run the Nutribullet as well as torch, USB chargers, jump start ready, great for LED lighting at night, Pajeros have a 120w charging plug in the rear to keep it charged. Here are a few photos of various ones from the club, I like using the back door as a kitchenette, its looking better everyday.

  47. No I'll have a phone and a lappy but there's probably not very good reception out there, load the lappy with maps and some entertainment and enjoy living in nature rather than my current 12 hour days on the desktop. By the way I quit smoking the Devils weed a few weeks ago and don't miss it at all, another bonus is that I have virtually stopped drinking because of it, had one beer last night, thats average now so leaves me more money from my stipend for fuel etc. My rough plan is to get to the top part of Aus and see what arises, there's a famous river that I've read about that should be worth a look, search Palmer River Goldrush, I'm thinking metal detector time. I shall take my unjabbed body far from the reaches of the insane clowns in charge of the world and will celebrate my 71st birthday in my first week on the road.
