  4. It’s strange that the French word for smoke is derived from the Latin but the word for fire isn’t, well until you look at their history anyway, every fucker has kicked the shit out of them and invaded them which is why it’s such a mongrel language, I can see why a cunt like you fits in there so well.

  9. They're out in force on FaceButt now: Horrifying study reveals mRNA vaccine nanoparticles are circulated throughout the entire body. New research conducted in Japan shows that Lipid NanoParticles (LNPs) containing the mRNA code are widely circulated around the body after vaccination, reaching the brain, spleen, large intestine, heart, liver, lungs and other organs. There are 50 BILLION of these nano sized lipid envelopes of lab replicated RNA from a cor0na virus protein spike (from SaRs CV2?) Most who get this injection will certainly shorten their life, become sterile, have a lifetime of sickness from this experimental 'medicine" that's for an alleged virus with a 99% survivable rate without treatment. With proper medicine, it's 100% recoverable - no worse than the common cold, which is caused by the common corona virus. We're all fucked then!

  10. I took one of a Daytona for a friend. It really wasn't that bad although I confess to having a couple of wires spare but left them insulated and all was well. Wires from the alarm will take power and earth by joining into the loom. Others will "break" wires so you have to rejoin colours. Can't explain it better as I'm drinking.

  12. So, got to editing this and it ended up too long for most people, still, it's got pretty great views, some of my favourite roads, some castles, the Serra da Estrela in the rain, and much more of my voice over it all ... ... which isn't really a bonus Watch at your own risk, I kinda like it, though

  18. This is not me, but it is pretty much my journey to work (pre covid) at least once a week and the main reason I ride a bike to work if at all possible. Having said pre-covid, I did go through a 5 mile queue last week, traffic nearly back to normal and I had to go in at normal commuting hour to meet some white liners. Reason for a 10 mile queue (or longer) on my motorway part of the trip is usually:- Someone driving like a prat coming a cropper and crashing, a loose horse or cow running about on a motorway, or an HGV tipping over at it makes the turn north from the M25 onto the M11. The last thing happens so often I can't believe they don't reprofile the cross fall.

  20. this is ahy you should always read books in their original language if possible, translation ALWAYS has to balance between translating the sense of a word given the context, or the litteral translation.

  21. funnily enough, french is a less rich language than english ( for example) English has 4 majour roots: Latin, Nordic, germanic and anglosaxon wheras French has only One Majour root in Latin and a number of much more minor roots in the various celtic languages and the Langue D'Oc. Which is why the average englishman has a much larger vovabulary than his french counterpart. The english often have 3 or 4 words with the same ( or very near) meaning, wheras the French will have one word with a number of different meanings. Or so It was once explained to me...

  33. Curfew, the english word, comes from the english mispronunciation of the french " Couvre Feu" literally "Lights out". As a child at boarding school, each year group had a different "lights out" time when they are required to be in bed by, later as you get older and only theoretical in the last 2 years.

  36. and made a video of it. I made this video to figure out how it was to make a video with voiceover, it's fucking tiresome and frustrating that what it's like! I am annoyed just listening to myself speak, but if you have 10 minutes to spare you might want to see it. There are some good roads on there, you can turn the sound off ... This covers the first day of the ride me and @Sofia did a month ago, on this ride report from her:
