Welcome aboard @Gordon....right off the bat, like you already as that's my Dad's name...lol My oldest grandson had the Ninja 400...loved it--even did a trackday with it. He eventually sold it on....now rides my old XT 600 SuMo...couldn't be happier. I did a stint at a bike shop awhile back & had the opportunity to turn a few spanners on ZX6's...nice bikes, but the ergo's will eventually take a toll on your body. Pretty, Fast bikes are 1 thing, but there a fair amount of Ergo-correct options out there that will make for quite a load of happy 2-wheel miles. It'll be great to see what you end up with....

Loads of liquid sunshine last night & more for today.....hopefully will finally wash the rest of the snow off the driveway, so we can start driving the car again. Then I can replace the headlights on the truck w/ a new set I just bought...as they've seen better days since the deer I hit a coupla years ago. Also will be into finishing "thorn-proofing" the tires on my better half's Etrike. There's no company that makes thorn-proof inner tubes for 20"x 3" fat tires...but I did buy some thorn-proof strips to be applied between the tubes & the inside of the tires....so we'll see how that pans out...

Depending on where you're going....that's generally a great month to Ride over here...

After a glorious day yesterday (weather-wise)....woke up to 16f this morning, so the slimey snow that's left has turned to crunchy hardness....the dogs liked it as they could run across it w/o sinking their short legs into it. Going with Mrs. Hook to have a go at building a FB page for our church today...that oughta be interesting...

Life is like a roll of TP....the closer you get to the end, the faster it goes...

34f & starting to rain...hope it washes all this slush off the driveway. CrazyAss winter weather this year...just read where some ski areas in CA are closing due to over 600" of snow that's fallen.

After getting another foot of snow last night...Got blessed with some warmer temps today....water's flowing again in the house. Twas nice to get a hot shower after 3 days too....feeling human again. Ordered some new headlights & reg. tags for the truck as well. Shots with the Mrs. on schedule for tonight.

Sounds like my day... woke up to -14f yet quite sunny. Then the water froze up....still is. I crawled under the house where the water supply comes in...to find out that the plumbers that fixed a leak over last fall, had left all the foam pipe insulation laying on the ground right next to the new section of pipe they replaced...Lazy Bastards!! If they woulda completed the job properly, I'd had no water probs today. Also working on our 2nd week with no pellet stove as it's control board went tits up...fortunately the 'lectric furnace is doing a good job of keeping us from freezing. Yet another day of negative temps to go before it starts to warm up weather-wise...right about when our pellet stove is to be repaired....damn Murphy's Law. Crawling around in the snow was NOT my idea of a great time to spent our 3rd wedding Anniversary today--

Think I'm with Clive on this one....a coupla times over the summer months w/ Lysol anti-bacterial & hand washing the interior pads in the sink. Then a good coat of car wax over the exterior as well as both sides of the visor...but of course, mine doesn't get nearly as dirty when I'm traveling under 40 mph.

Very kool pics @alfalfa.... I used to have 1 of these.... Would eat ANYthing....basically a 4-legged Anvil. Scared the sh*t outta my boy's baseball coach once when he came over....he said she sounded like a gorilla in our back yard.

Woke up to -5f this morning ....but the sun is out now...still only supposed to make it into the lower 20'sf for a high today. The snow isn't going anywhere...@ least till next week.

We had 8" dump overnight....now it's 8f here this morning. My wife's relatives are enduring -45f temps in ND today.

IF he does....wonder how many other riders he'll take out in the process?

Had some fun last night shooting a different brand of tequila that we got for a Christmas present from my sis-in-law....stuff was pretty damn smooth. Currently snowing heavily...again....got a good 6" on the roof now.

26f here & been snowing since 10pm last night.... pretty stoked about making it back up my steep driveway in the white stuff yesterday.... Along w/ the new front axles, those 3 dead car/boat batteries make for some great ballast in the back of my truck... no sense in paying good $$ to get rid of 'em

Same vintage & color as the Camaro I had....mine was just small-block power'd & nowhere near that quick though. Pretty cool seeing those smokey black stripes appear outta the corners...

Snowed pretty good again last night... then it cleared off & got colder....14f when we got up. This type of snow motivates me to break out the skis!...

Wonder what the deer would think seeing 4 tires rolling up?....

Sincerest Condolences Ray..... makes me feel truly blessed as my Dad will be 88 this June...just talked with him yesterday & he's doing great...so is Mom. The Mrs. & I are planning another trip to MN to see them this coming spring. Definitely get out & RIDE!!
