  1. I don't know the area well, but Andalucia alone must be plenty of space for some pretty long day rides, even if you plan on leaving in the morning and only come back home 4 or 5 hours later. Above 12º is pretty comfortable if it's sunny and you keep out of motorways. Is it too expensive or unavailable to get it connected to marina electricity and heating it up that way overnight? I will be home, going for a walk in the morning with my brother and Costa, and a little one in the afternoon. Portugal is on a lockdown so even though I would be not getting close to other people I don't really feel like being stopped by cops asking what my reason for being on the road is. Here, lockdown is within councils so you can't really ride anywhere if you stick to the rules. Although, as in everything portuguese we are the best at giving unclear orders, on the portuguese government website it states "there is a mandatory duty to stay home", for fucks sake, either it's mandatory or it's a duty! I'll be staying with my family over these two or three weeks (I hope) so don't really want to bring the bug home either. I'll be bored, may start reading a book.
  2. Never rode one but they indeed are supposed to be a great fast bike. Wouldn't mind reading a ride report on a couple of those trips.
  3. Is this actually a bike test with no actual bike testing or real pictures of a real bike? Bots need a dislike button.
  4. But is it like a generic term to identify a 50/50 tire, or like a trademark thread design?
  5. Can't not see that and not whistle the theme song in your head.
  6. Quote from that link's title: "The Welsh have the biggest penises in the UK, measuring 6.56 inches (16.66cm) Despite being blessed with the largest genitals, they have the worst sex lives"
  7. Sounds like a shitty time, cold and rain for days until you get to a concentration camp, hope you had a good time though.
  8. Carrying a water bottle or just having a good drink before is cheap insurance. I do like the heat but if you're in it you have to be smart if the need comes to do any exertion. The heat is probably why all those brutal murderers moved away, it was very hard work.
  9. @XTreme's bike doesn't need a fender, it's evolved and is equipped with a much more advanced Active Puddle and Mud Avoidance System.
  10. Not my point, Pete, I meant any kind of predicament that forces you to push yourself a little more. Like for example a bike falling on it's sidestand, I'm sure you must look at that BMW and wonder how it stays up My point, extreme heat is way more likely to be an issue than violent murderers.
  11. Eastern europeans are a little more used to violence (proper violence and war, not fisticuffs on a saturday night) and bodyguards in a way that is quite difficult for a western european to comprehend, I guess their home countries endured a lot of ugliness recently. I wouldn't be hanging around those deserted buildings in the middle of nowhere, but that might be more because they're creepy and haunted. Seriously now, being older I think you should watch out for riding in sunny over 40º heat more than being murdered, specially away from roads. That's a nice way to turn a slow speed tumble or a little mechanical issue into a proper adventure.
  12. My problem is slightly the other way, I'm a 32 or 33' waist, a 48 or 50 in european sizing, and most pants rise a little up on the boot once in riding position, so ideally i need a little longer sizing, which wouldn't be a problem since a few manufacturers make them, I like Dainese. Wouldn't be a problem except deliveries and stocks have been failing a lot since covid started, it'll just take a little longer.
  13. Got a pair ordered, I’m a weird size, but everything related to productions and dates is messed up and delayed.
  14. Yes, cold for Portugal but way nicer than rain.
  15. I always thought I was 181cm, but my ID card states 183cm, I was very happy to know about those two extra cm even if they're just on paper
  16. If you're not a surfer or really looking for warm beach weather, I would visit in autumn or early spring. Chances of rain increase, but less of a tourist mob and still great weather:

  18. It's an old fishing village, still some typical fishing but very few boats today. It's the world's first surf reserve, lots of brits, dutch, australians and brasilians living there. It's full of female yoga instructors from all over, surfers from all over, and an overall chill vibe, lots of people during the peak of summer though. It's a very pretty place to be in, quite unique in Portugal.
  19. That sounds like a proper ride. How was Estonia? Russia just seems so grim whenever I look at videos of riding there, ugly roads, traffic and weather. Did you go over?
  20. He does in fact appear to be the man.
  21. Talked to a 23 or 25 year old girl who works for one of my client's today. She is fit and does sports. She had covid for a couple of weeks, and the following lung infection left her in bed for a month and a half unable to stand up or speak more than 4 words without stoping for a breath. She's fine now, but can't run or climb stairs without having to catch her breath. Same with athletes, they bounce back to "normal" but for months are left debilitated compared to their previous state. Every sickness is best handled by very healthy and fit young people, that's just fucking common sense. So what? Seriously, a young athlete copes better than an old and debilitated person or someone with a chronic sickness, what kind of idiot thinks this is relevant and should be viewed as an indicator that people and over reacting? Should we ease off on cancer treatment as well since it's deadlier on older people?
  22. A forum should be like a pub or a cafe. You don't just go in and act like you know everyone there, you shouldn´t feel at ease talking to people online in a way that you wouldn't in real life. You get in, go peruse ride reports, a few discussions, and get a feel of the place, if you get in and act like a twat from the get go then that's just what you are* *which is alright, if that's what you are in person as well
