  1. Success with the neighbours, had a nice piece of bbq beef instead of chicken! Plus some great red wine, the better half brought by me because I ‘m a great guest.
  2. I wish! I had to pay for it
  3. That looks like hard enough sand to ride a motorcycle on like it's concrete.
  4. Chicken roasted on coal, opened on the grill, with a little bit of mozambican hot sauce. Very simple and non pretentious and very much african / portuguese.
  5. It does look proper black. I'll have dinner with my neighbors in a bit. Nothing fancy, probably roasted chicken, similar to what I think Nandos makes in the UK. Might have a glass of wine too, maybe two.

  8. Sorry, I have to do it. It's voilà!
  9. Went to buy flour, really very windy and cold up there.
  10. A guy just came by to bring me a load of wood
  11. Cool bike, shame about the lack of VTwin though.
  12. Either the Goldwing 4 cylinder or the CB750 for me.
  13. It´s 172cm. I think taller than you and you would find it too small/short.
  14. How tall and heavy are you Saul? I sat on my mate’s bike and found it tiny and low. Compared to my bike that is no surprise though.
  15. He’s very pleased with it.
  16. Send her a kiss from me, Pete. All the best for you both!
  17. I hear cars get at least a puncture a week in the UK. Dodged a bullet!
  18. I also assumed it was higher mileage. When you bought it did you think you would be keeping it for a long time? Love this picture, looks like the same pattern on the clouds and the grass
  19. That deer doesn’t seem very normal to me, might have shorter neck than the Portuguese ones but it’s dancing with a little child!

@Slowlycatchymonkey I have tried Berber coffee for the first time this year in Morocco, and have been trying to replicate it a few times now. It'll put a whole new twist on black coffee and you'll like it if you like fragrant spices. It's not meant to be expresso thick so I make it in a french press: use the usual amount of coffee that you would for a strong cup, but then add spices to the ground coffee before adding and mixing the water as normal. All of them are optional but I have tried it this way and like it: pinch of rock sea salt, coursely ground black pepper, ground cinnamon (more than the others), , ground nutmeg, ground ginger, ground cardamom (less than the others), and from there on invent within reason. Small amounts of each. A couple of mint leaves go well as well. Mix it and try it that way, no sugar needed for me and the cinnamon takes care of that, but pretty sure most rural Moroccans will add plenty of sugar to it. It'll be a different coffee experience.
