Peas with chorizo and a poached egg inside. It’s a very Portuguese comfort food. Spaghettoni al pesto, with basil and mint from my garden, pistachio. Looks rustic because it was done by hand on a mortar that was too small for the job. Tasted great, though, with the fresh herbs and good olive oil, though. Sofia made me sardines like I had in Morocco, stuffed with charmoula, a typical coriander and parsley spice mix. It really was a taste of adventure.

You’re 70, wouldn’t think you need this lesson but here you go: don’t piss against the wind!

I had to go and google what 4us gallons is in litres. I no longer like the Goldwing.

Very cool time of the year, and great bit of history too.

When did London start having gas plumbing to homes? just checked, 1807 for public lighting, very cool!

Doesn’t that make you want to stretch a bike’s legs? Ubi non accusator, ibi non judex. That’s Latin for where there are no cops there is no speed limit.

Is it moist then, Pete?

It’s the name, no error, I find it weird too. People here in Torres Vedras are really weird. Onda translates to wave in Portuguese …

You never heard of the French invasion? Napoleon? Wellesley? The Brits used us as an excuse to kill some French and help ruin their plans, and we took that help gladly. The Lines of Torres were built with colaboration and direction of the British and were two rows of fortifications north of Lisbon, they were able to transmit messages from one end to the other in minutes, it was very cool.

Not much of a ride report, just a stop at Torres Vedras and decided to go up to see the Castle. Torres Vedras of “Lines of Torres” fame played an important part in Portugal’s defense from the French invasion. This castle, however, is way older than that. I liked learning about the roman water reservoirs, but I won’t bore you, you can read the signs on the pictures if you want. Ignored the signs as surely they didn’t mean to forbid motorcycle parking by the main door. Inside there’s quite a pleasant space with some nice trees. The Roman water cisterns, clever people those romans You guys, helping out: Quite the history: Shortly after I met up with Sofia, who made her big “I’m having a huge pastry for lunch” smile And we went to look at Hondas

Hope that’s not what you have in mind if you come over my way!

Just finished cleaning up my place to go away, working a bit and then will go to meet with @Sofia on the way to her place to later have dinner and laughs with three women. Will stop on the way to see a bike someone's curious about, though. Who knows about tomorrow, might finally go north and spend some time with Costa.

And yet, this is much more Hornet than the other one. If this sells it's because it sounds nice, it screams, it's revvy and smooth, and the exhaust manifold looks great, like a Hornet.

It evades me, how is this not the Hornet?

I have to say. This looks like crap and I’d rather have a Harley.

You can’t search by manufacturer? Spain is so yesterday!

He's got a nice R80GS, with nice tires that'll shit all over those lighter singles that everyone seems to be lugging around at one gear higher than they should. Man, this is really getting to me, isn't it?
