  1. Yes, I do! Fell right on a rock and knocked one of the pinlock pins off, I don't use pinlock so now I've got a square of duct tape to close that.
  2. The Goldwing looks like a fine bike for a trip like that.
  3. I keep mine until I feel like changing them, they get a hard life from the summer sweat and dust. Also it seems like I can't help but drop them, the last one was bounced down a cobblestone street (my head not inside, thankfully), the current one knocked off my bike by a monkey...
  4. Is there going to be a season 2, @XTreme ?
  5. You did make a pretty bright seat cover, though.
  6. Yes, Mauritania with any engine management fault is probably a real adventure. Good to know you made it home. Curious as to what is wrong with it.
  7. That's nothing .... Here it's quite windy
  8. Portugal's very much a Honda country, today I've encountered: 2 Honda Africa Twins 1 Honda NTV650 1 Honda CBF600 1 Honda adventure scooter 1 Honda NC750 1 Yamaha Super Tenere 750 1 Harley Davidson 1 Kawasaki cruiser 1 BMW R1200GS, not mine
  9. Still at my place, was planning to go north a couple of days ago but somehow couldn’t drag myself away. Just came up to the hills for lunch at the usual spot, the ride here was just perfect, 30 or 40 minutes of perfect not slow not fast pace, with a dirtroad shortcut with a rocky uphill section, then the hill and onto the cafe. No pictures because I enjoyed not putting a foot down the whole way.
  10. What error was that? Spec's bike is an older water-cooled version like mine isn't it? They've got a couple of known mechanical flaws according to manufacturing date, but are pretty reliable overall.
  11. Let him make new friends!
  12. Don’t have Facebook, where is he? I’ve got someone in Porto…
  13. Just watched the first season of The Diplomat on Netflix, and really liked it. Ended on proper drama too, really pissed me off to go from that to knowing they don’t have a date for the second season yet, twats!
  14. No need to make excuses dude, live your truth!

    Pedro's food

Yesterday’s dinner, or tea … carrot oven baked chips, steak (local cut, too thin but tasty meat) with egg on horseback, and Moroccan salad wanted potatoes but had none at home, had a couple of carrots, it was a delicious surprise.
  16. I’m amazed, a unicorn, a ride report! Good stuff, having a chef taking care of the evening is quite something else, such lovely houses you stayed in too! From the reading, I think you maybe would have enjoyed it more with three days each way instead of two long days?
  17. There are help lines, Bob. You’re not alone! It’s not 1940 anymore.
  18. Ironing is so yesterday. The modern woman knows how to hang clothing and fold it properly to avoid ironing
  19. This is the style if you really have to have a topbox.
  20. I don’t service the GS, but have a note on my phone and laptop with everything that’s been done since new, with km and dates. Also have a pdf with everything that’s been invoiced. It’s good to know how many kms you’re doing per year, or how long a tire has been lasting. In my case, I use it mostly to check if the previous service has included spark plugs and valve check.
  21. Gave up. I went away Fred, and since then didn’t go back home. I will be there tomorrow and monday and give it another try, but since then haven’t bought any stuff to work on the carb. Will do that up north when in Porto, don’t want to take the carb out and disassemble to them reassemble 3 months later, I would surely end up with a carb plus half of the parts without knowing where they go
  22. She must have been regretting not staying at your house now, a nice big screen tv and a cb500x …
