The only thing I see in my future is a new (or newer ) DR650, I certainly won't be going for anything bigger. If Honda hadn't put that shit engine in the CRF450L then that might have been the holy grail

I had been into Fowler's in Bristol get some parts, I came back out to my KTM 950 and there were loads of people in the car park. I rode off and dropped it straightaway as I forgot to take the lock off the front wheel . There was much sniggering and plenty of this ................

My first KTM 950 had sandcast cases. You needed to check the water pump after about 20,000 miles as the fine grains of sand would kill the bearing on the impeller shaft .

I wouldn't say the were 'gone' . Having looked at them the bearings look ok and the bottom race is fine but the top race does have a mark on it. I will look at it closer (my eyes are shite) and then decide what to do . I could just re-grease them and polish the mark out on the top race and re-fit them. These bearings take a lot of punishment on a dirt bike and you've seen the sort of shit we ride in. On a road bike you'd expect them to do 30 -40,000 miles before replacement.

But the Samsung tabs have been failing, the unit on Greg Villalobos PR7 lasted two months before it shit itself
