The 2020 DR650 is no different whatsoever to the 1996 so I wouldn't worry about that

Decent quality shot, superb backdrop, the fact that the bike was being used to carry something unusual, it looked like the rider was on a great ride. It could be all sorts of things that would make me vote for a certain photo, the fact that it was a BMW1200GS (I hope I've got that correct) was neither here nor there for me. If I'm perfectly honest it's not my favourite bike ever by a long shot but that wouldn't stop me voting for it.

But we're all bike riders , that's the common thing that brings us here ?

I'm sorry but I don't get the '...because I don't think anybody who voted for it would aspire to own a Vespa ' bit at all. Why is the Vespa any less of a bike than any others on here ? what if we get a newbie who rides a C90 or a Honda X-ADV ? are those any less of a bike ?

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm, I've only got the Dakar to compare with personally but I've done lot of distance on my DR650 and never have I got off it feeling uncomfortable.

I voted for you Pedro, anyone who carries a case on wine on their bike in that sort of scenery is ok in my book

Agree with the pillion thing (not that I've ever got one) but disagree on the distance. I've done France , Italy, Switzerland, Spain on mine and the only place the BMW will beat the Suzuki is on fuel consumption imo.

Nah, a GS still looks pretty smooth compared to some of the bikes coming out now. The GS has it’s own style, it’s been copied but not as good
