My eldest brother is terrified of flying and the engineering firm he worked for had a few months work on a lighthouse off the coast of the UK somewhere> The only way there and back was by helicopter, After the first day he bought a load of camping and fishing gear and stayed in the lighthouse for a week at a time, He said the time after the helicopter left was great but started getting really stressed as the weekend approached with the thought of the flight off there lol.

My next youngest brother is a CrewChief aboard this flying egg-beater.... He knows EVERY last nut, bolt & rivet on this beast....& is currently in flight from S. America up to Aurora OR as I type....some 8k+ miles.

Diti, i never liked night flights always gave me the willies, i could never get on with doing night stuff after being a Lad on night patrol in the Jungle always gave me the collywobbles..even today 59 years later

This is a one off... any one fancy a day out in a Helicopter, take off from City airport from London fly over to France have Lunch in Toulouse... then a flight along the French coastline back over to uk where we land at a Hotel in the Surrey countryside for drinks and dinner.... so if any of you have or know someone with a helicopter let me know or we cant go.

Collected the bike today and knocked up just over 250 km. Goes lovely, very smooth, extremely comfortable, and a big old lump.

Windy & Wet here weatherwise....a bit of Tequila shooting on the schedule for this evening I finally got the Tuff-strips installed in Mrs. Hook's trike tires- as well as a shift cable adjust. Got 3 good days coming next week...temps in the 70'sF Good time for a test ride & any fine-tuning that needs to be done.

I have slightly expired fixed wing licence, again 18 years now...boy time flies...see what i did with that one... Me also..never been able to under stand any body who knows the theory of flight EVER stepping into a teledaptor as the little one calls them.. Sh1t: it was before my first Big C Op...1999.. 26 bloody years..we is getting old Ren.

I actually did use my CPL (H) for a few years when I was on contract for a communications project in the Middle East but it was an addition to my main role.

Cool - I have slightly expired commercial fixed wing multi engine licence. Always regretted not making a career out of it. Tried rotary but concluded it was some kind of witchcraft.
