  2. My dad became a father at 19 also, 4 years later, at 23 he had 2 kids. Neither me nor my brother followed his footsteps. I was 32 when my daughter was born and my brother had his first daughter at 37.

  5. I've been officially disabled since 2013....but of course the SSA definitely tried to get me to sell out for a lower monthly amount...which I promptly ignored. So with my disability & survivors benefit from my previous wife, I'm still able to pay my property taxes off every year. 94% chance of precip today....gotta shampoo the carpet before company gets here this weekend.

  7. If he had of had heart attacks before they would have shown on the preop ECG It's common for people to not know if they've had a heart attack though. Internal organs have few pain receptors and are not particularly well connected up. Just for example your liver can be completely screwed and you wouldn't know unless it was picked up in a blood test or it actually started to fail. The heart does have pain receptors but they're crudely connected to the spinal column in a way that can give you a message as useless as a bit of arm ache.

  8. He looks old enough to be Saul’s dad, if Saul’s dad looked like a ball sack that had been dragged down the road by a truck and then chewed on by a feral pig.

  23. That was the case for me. It wasn’t discovered until I had an Echocardiogram weeks after I was taken ill. I didn’t know, and I am very conscious of the issue given my family history.

  34. I had a diary for that stuff back in the days of driving on track. It's really easy to get lost if you're not meticulous. I was remembered of that on the GS, with the new suspension I started tinkering with it and initially I kept notes, but then forgot to and after a couple more adjustments I was lost and didn't remember the sweet spot. Now I just have it softer like I put it in Morocco to go off-road and left it like that regardless, it gets a big wavy and feels like a boat on rough seas when going proper fast, but there you go.

  40. Yes mate my Dad died of a heart attack at 57 and I had a minor one at 56, I had 3 stents after that. The difference between us is I listened to the medics and he wouldn’t. It’s why I keep saying what I do, ignoring symptoms and medical advice killed my dad. Tough guy in life but some things need a different approach.

  41. I came across DSUK almost as it was morphing into maximum bikes I think, back in 2005, having made my life in France I was looking for an English speaking bike forum and had signed up to about 8 I think with the intention of seeing what I liked or not. Max bikes felt so much more like what I was used to in a local bike club, I stayed. Over the years I have been more or less active according to personal circumstances and available time. People on here have offered support through some difficult times, and definately some huge laughs and fascinating conversations amongst the inane banter that is the backdrop to it all. Much as it pains me to admit it. Pete has been the motor in the machine, and though others have had a hand in steering, or oiling the wheels, or applying the brakes, or filling the tank, when the motor is no longer in the frame the rest will struggle to keep the machine alive, no matter how good they are. Thanks for the ride Pete. ( you spicky ginger welsh twat)
