The Grasshopper had a long and difficult week. Went out for a ride today on Charlotte and that made me feel better. Then the day ended with smiles, as I got to try out my new chainsaw!!!! The poor trees didn't know what was coming, but I managed to get a week's worth of fire wood and I felt much better in the end!5 points

No idea. He works for the NHS where everything is serious all the damn time, it has to be. Its not until you leave the proverbial weights lifted and you realise you’ve had to take life very seriously for a very long time. But he definitely has a lighter more jovial side. One of life’s good guys, unfortunately that makes him a troll target.1 point

At the moment you need two the same to reach full immunity (for the current variants) but research is being conducted on a mix and match approach. Astrazenica are honouring their contracts they are just not continuing on after this stint (too much bullshit damage to their company). After one course is completed the next time you can switch to another brand with no problems at all. Its quite usual for medical providers to get their vaccines from the cheapest source so they switch all the time1 point
-
There are no firm (or most likely revealed) plans yet but some governments have already placed orders for the next lot so its likely. Thats how its known Astrazenica have said no more. And as soon as they said they were bowing out the negative press about the Oxford Astrazenica stopped... big pharma are big time arseholes. Unless theres a yearly shot like with flu then its not possible to stop people dying from it. It mutates the same way as the cold virus so the immune system will require updates in the form of a jab to know what its enemy looks like.1 point
-
All indications are that it is currently effective against preventing hospitalisation and death but not so effective at stopping you getting symptoms They’ve already figured out the necessary tweaks to the jab to cover it and the other new variants so that kind of good news.. apart from the it will mean as we get further away from the original variants booster jabs will be needed. Australia has operated a strict closed border policy including a $50,000 fine and up to 5 years in prison if you come in from India which has since Christmas resulted them only having 980 Covid deaths!1 point

heard it will be ok , you just might get a jelly belly and have the shits for a few day .1 point

So tomorrow I've got too much on to go anywhere, Ray's playing golf, and Pedro's buying plants! Seems like Fred's the only hope we've got then?1 point

Tomorrow I shall be mostly planting plants on my garden. Starting at 8:30 with a ride on a pickup to buy 100 something plants, and try to make it before getting too late. Trying to make my house not look abandoned isn't easy ...1 point
