Re-chroming forks

Very interested to hear about this.

I made a mental note of the one Henry Cole banged on about being the best in one of his shows. I know nothing about them and the google reviews aren't great! Here's the link anyway -

My father in law was for a while big into restoring old Saabs. He used Doug Taylor probably just because he's nearby but the work was really good. Lovely thick glossy coatings.

When I enquired about chroming a mudguard the email response I got from them was very straight forward and sensible, essentially saying it wasn't a good idea and best leave it alone. I find that sort of thing reassuring.

How bad are they? Wouldn't some crome polish and elbow grease do the job?

As for companies im sure they are all the same workmanship and price

Yes, well past a polish.

Used them before Bob?

No , they are new to us.  If you're not in a hurry I could let you know what we think once they come back ?

I wouldn’t rule out Doug Taylor, looking at the website there are lot of pics of rechromed motorcycle parts and the reviews are good 👍

Thanks. No ruling anyone out yet but I've not had feedback off anyone other than here
Couple of local to me people have suggested them after both having forks done and both said good things but I've also had bad in the past.

Well the Google reviews are good but the two Trust Pilot reviews aren’t cheery. Hard to know if they’re relevant when there are too few.
