I just use an old phone for nav on the bike.  We have several old phones kicking around the house what with my daughters and wife upgrading every year.   Perfect for the job and for the sake of a £6 a month PAYG sim pretty cost effective option. Most expensive part of it is buying a Quad Lock case.
