It could be a long stay for her in the hospital, so i hope I can go on the scoot as much as possible...... Thanks Lyn... Oh no mate whats happened to her? I have that all the time But I will make the most of the ride to the hospital later.....

Hold your ground mate, make sure the appropriate care package is put into place before she comes home. I won't comment on your life but my Brother in law is going through a similar thing with his 94 year old mother. She is in hospital and the moment and has been back home twice and had to go back in again, just pushing her out to soon because they need the bed. Saul
Well that was a shock, Shadow has just told me she wants to give up biking. Wants to get a car and learn to drive. I told her they are not mutually exclusive. We shall see, no rush to do anything. 1

Thankfully she would never get insurance for my car in the UK. She will have to get some sort of 1.0 litre car and then it won't be cheap. I don't blame her, she had a real health scare before Christmas and hasn't got her confidence back yet, hopefully she will. I will be keeping the bike around until October when she will have to reinsure it if she doesn't we will talk about it then.

Our bungalow is OAP friendly, wide doors for wheelchair users, pull cord alarms in every room, and taps that help with poor strength and grip. As I may have said earlier, there are 6 of these bungalows, 5 out of the 6 have a Wet Room, guess which one does not?, we did apply for one when my wife's knees were bad, but it was refused by the housing association. She cannot lay in in our bed, she can't get in or out of it, so if they discharge her tomorrow it will be back to sleeping on the sofa. Red Cross says they are coming to see her at home, if! she is at home...........NHS, providing no help........what a shit show.
