Second Weekend in August!

I've found a very remote abandoned village in the Sierra de Segura mountain range in the Jaen province!

Unfortunately I may not be going this weekend for two reasons:

1. I've got a shitload of work on.

2. The temperatures are predicted to be insane........and this location is going to take a few hours to reach. I don't want another bout of heatstroke after last weekend's episode.

So I may well be sidelined this weekend........but if I'm not that's where I'll go.

What you got planned?

We will be making a mad dash this pm to make the falling tide. Evening stop in Port Dinorwic in the Menai where we will forgo anchoring in favour of a mooring as the wind is predicted to swing from SW to N during the night. Cross Caernarfon Bar at 10:30 am Sat and make our way to Ynys Meibion for a weekend of fun. Will dive a bit for lobster, a bit of fishing off the wreck. A bit of water sports with the kids. Beach BBQ's and rock pooling specie competition with the kids and then head back on Sunday after 4pm.

Sounds ace to me, especially the fishing bit :littleguy:

It is great weather, Pete. It promises to be a fantastic weekend.

Any hope of finding any Abandoned Ships.....Marie Celeste sort or thing?

Or how about a sunken WWII U-Boat?

Well we plan on fishing and diving 2 wrecks in our next stop and will be skirting around another on the way there if that counts.

Brilliant!

Have you got GoPros for it?

No. Only my phone. However if we get anything on the dive worth eating or catch any fish I will post up. The latter depends on whether we catch any livebait or not. Im hoping on tope off the wreck and bass or pollack of the bluffs.

Well I was hoping for things like unexploded bombs or skeletons!

Check Pedro’s dinner plate if you want to see skeletons.

Left home around 10:30 or 11:00, went for a nice ride next to the Douro river, then up some hills, stopped for a little lunch of grilled chicken and salad, and just made it back home. I think around 200km. Enjoyed the small roads a lot, and am liking the new suspension.

Didn't bother to stop for pictures
